Saturday’s MLS schedule dishes up ten games for us to get our teeth into. Dallas and Austin’s all-Texas showdown is among the standout clashes, along with the California Clasico between San Jose and LA Galaxy.

Read on to discover my MLS predictions and betting picks for Saturday, June 25. Before we get to those predictions and picks, though, we need to examine Saturday’s Major League Soccer odds.

MLS Odds for Saturday. June 25, 2022

  • Seattle Sounders (-136) vs. Sporting Kansas City (+380)
  • DC United (+130) vs. Nashville SC (+205)
  • CF Montreal (-114) vs. Charlotte FC (+315)
  • Toronto FC (+210) vs. Atlanta United (+130)
  • Houston Dynamo (+125) vs. Chicago Fire (+230)
  • Inter Miami (+135) vs. Minnesota United (+205)
  • Austin FC (+110) vs. FC Dallas (+238)
  • Real Salt Lake (-110) vs. Columbus Crew (+325)
  • San Jose Earthquakes (+165) vs. LA Galaxy (+165)
  • Portland Timbers (+130) vs. Colorado Rapids (+220)

Only one side – Atlanta United – is favored to win away from home on Saturday. BetOnline has named eight home favorites, with the California Clasico between San Jose and LA Galaxy priced equally.

Seattle, Montreal, and Real Salt Lake are the clear home favorites, while DC United, Houston, Inter Miami, Austin, and Portland are also expected to claim all three points on home soil.

MLS Predictions for Saturday, June 25

Are you ready for my Major League Soccer predictions for Saturday, June 25? I have decided to cover four standout matchups in detail. I will then go over the rest of my MLS predictions for Saturday.

Seattle Sounders to Beat Sporting Kansas City

Despite having played more games than anyone else this season, Sporting Kansas City sits third from bottom in the Western Conference – one point ahead of last-place San Jose.

The Wizards have managed to win just four of their 17 MLS clashes this year, registering four draws and nine defeats in the process. Worse still, they have the second-poorest defensive record in the West.

As for the Sounders, a run of four wins in six outings has seen them climb to seventh. The 2022 CONCACAF Champions League winners held LAFC to a 1-1 draw last time out, maintaining their resurgence.

Given SKC’s woes, I’m confident that Seattle will clinch a fifth victory in seven games this weekend.

Nashville SC to Beat DC United

DC United’s season went from bad to worse when they suffered a hugely disappointing 1-0 defeat to Chicago Fire last weekend. As a result, DC sits level with last-place Chicago on 14 points in the Eastern Conference.

Chad Ashton’s men head into Saturday’s clash on a six-game winless run in all competitions. When you look at the bigger picture, they have lost five of their previous eight outings.

On the flip side,
Nashville sits sixth in the West – nine points better off than DC. The Boys in Gold have lost just one of their past six matches across all competitions, with two defeats coming in their previous ten.

You probably won’t be surprised to learn that I’m backing Nashville to dispatch DC without any real problems.

Real Salt Lake to Beat Columbus Crew

Real Salt Lake extended their hot streak with an easy 2-0 victory over San Jose last time out. Pablo Mastroeni’s men have now won five of their last seven games, scoring over 1.5 goals on four occasions.

Consequently, RSL sits second in the West – two points shy of LAFC. With the conference leaders not playing until Sunday, RSL has the opportunity to snatch first place and lay down a marker on Saturday.

Over in the East, Columbus occupies eleventh place. The Ohioans have managed to win just two of their previous 12 games in all competitions, suffering six defeats in nine outings along the way.

All the signs point towards a comfortable home win here. Mastroeni’s men are unbeaten on home soil in 2022, winning six of their seven encounters at Rio Tinto Stadium.

LA Galaxy to Beat San Jose Earthquakes

BetOnline’s odds suggest that San Jose and LA Galaxy are set for a close-fought battle. But can the Earthquakes give the Galaxy a run for their money? I’m not so sure.

The Quakes find themselves rock bottom of the Western Conference after winning three of their 16 MLS games this season. To make matters worse, they have the leakiest backline in the entire league.

the Galaxy sits fifth – nine points clear of San Jose. Having suffered a shock US Open Cup exit at the hands of Sacramento Republic in midweek, Greg Vanney’s boys will be desperate to get back on track this weekend.

Dejan Joveljic and Chicharito have both bagged seven goals this year. The Galaxy’s deadly duo should make light work of San Jose’s shaky defense.

More MLS Predictions for Saturday, June 25

  • CF Montreal to Beat Charlotte FC
  • Toronto FC and Atlanta United to Draw
  • Houston Dynamo to Beat Chicago Fire
  • Inter Miami to Beat Minnesota United
  • Austin FC and FC Dallas to Draw
  • Colorado Rapids to Beat Portland Timbers

I’m backing Montreal, Houston, and Inter Miami to win on home soil this weekend. Elsewhere, I expect the Rapids to win on their travels when they visit Portland.

I can see both Toronto FC vs. Atlanta United and Austin FC vs. FC Dallas ending in a draw. Toronto and Atlanta are both struggling for form at the moment, while Austin and Dallas are relatively evenly matched.

Top MLS Picks for Saturday, June 25, 2022

Seattle Sounders vs. Sporting Kansas City – Under 2.5 Goals-105
DC United vs. Nashville SC – Nashville SC to Win+205
CF Montreal vs. Charlotte FC – Over 2.5 Goals-125
Houston Dynamo vs. Chicago Fire – Houston Dynamo to Win+125

The Sounders boast the third-best defensive record in the West, while the Wizards are the joint-lowest scorers. With that in mind, I expect Seattle and Kansas City to play out a low-scoring match.

Nashville’s odds to beat DC United are too tasty to ignore. Granted, the Tennesseans are away from home on Saturday. But no team in the West has claimed more road points than Nashville in 2022.

11 of Montreal’s 15 games have produced over 2.5 goals this season – that’s 73%! Games involving the Canadians average 3.7 goals this year, so their clash against Charlotte is destined to be a high-scoring affair.

Last but not least, I’m backing Houston to beat Chicago. The Fire sits rock bottom of the Eastern Conference, while the Texans find themselves two points outside the playoff places in the West.
