Suning dominated Machi Esports on Tuesday to catch G2 Esports at the top of Group A of the LoL Worlds 2020 Main Event. The Chinese squad will have the chance to beat the same opponent once again and make a huge step towards the knockouts of the competition.

The opponent was better in terms of finding objectives and vision, which was more than enough to win. Machi needs to improve its strategy on Thursday, or another defeat might be on the cards.

The opening clash of the Worlds was a disappointment for Suning because the team was demolished by G2 Esports. That probably motivated the squad, and we saw two solid wins in the next rounds. That puts the Chinese side in a strong position to qualify for the next round of the competition.

What I like so far is the decision making we saw, especially against Machi. Suning works very well with the map, farming the jungles and pushing the lanes exactly when it’s required.

The team can control the games thanks to that and doesn’t even need to find many kills to overcome the opposition. It’s one of the most dangerous squads strategy-wise, and I expect more of the same in the future.

I believe that Suning will once again win on Thursday because the team’s overall awareness is better than Machi Esports has displayed so far. And yet, the Chinese squad doesn’t usually dominate that much in the kills department, and the score was 14-9 the first time around.

That’s why I’m slightly surprised by the high line for game two, and I believe that backing Machi to stay within 8.5 kills is the best pick available.
