Week 11 of the 2020 NFL season will wrap up with the marquee conference showdown at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, as the Buccaneers welcome the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football.

Both Rams and Bucs are trying their best to remain in the playoff picture. They are coming off some huge wins in Week 10 and promising a spectacular clash in Tampa.

I’m breaking down the odds and team stats to find the best Rams vs. Buccaneers betting pick, so let’s take a closer look.

Rams vs. Buccaneers Odds

Rams +2.5+100
Buccaneers -2.5-120
Rams to Win+130
Buccaneers to Win-150
Over 51.5-110
Under 51.5-110

The 6-3 Rams are fighting for the NFC West crown, having the identical record as the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks. On the other side, the 7-3 Buccaneers are holding the second spot in the NFC South, right behind the 7-2 Saints, but Tampa lost twice to New Orleans in 2020.

Last year, these two NFC foes played a memorable contest in Los Angeles, as the Bucs thrashed off the Rams 55-40 as 9-point road underdogs. Tampa is only 2-5 SU and 1-6 ATS in its previous seven encounters with the Rams.

Los Angeles Rams Form

Coming off a bye in Week 9, the Rams outlasted the Seattle Seahawks 23-16 this past Sunday, covering a 3-point spread. It was another mediocre performance by the Rams’ offense, but their defense did a terrific job against one of the highest-scoring teams in the NFL this season.

The Rams yielded only three points in the second half. Furthermore, they didn’t allow Russell Wilson to throw for a TD while picking off Seattle’s signal-caller twice.

On the other side of the ball, the Rams scored three touchdowns on the ground. Malcolm Brown entered the end zone twice, while Darrell Henderson did it once. Jared Goff tossed for 302 yards, and Josh Reynolds had a big game with eight catches for 94 yards.

The Rams are scoring only 24.0 points per game (18th in the NFL). They mostly lean on their defense, surrendering 18.7 points per contest (2nd) on 296.4 total yards (also 2nd).

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Form

After a shocking 38-3 home loss to the Saints in Week 9, the Buccaneers regrouped and bounced back in style this past Sunday. They dismantled the Carolina Panthers 46-23 as 6-point road favorites, scoring a whopping 29 second-half points.

Tampa’s game plan against the Saints was a disaster, but the Bucs improved a lot in Week 10, racking up 544 total yards while yielding only 187 in return.

Tom Brady tossed for 341 yards and three touchdowns; Mike Evans had six catches for 77 yards and a TD, while Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown combined for 13 receptions and 161 yards. Still, Ronald Jones wan an MVP with 23 carries for 192 yards including a 98-yard rushing TD.

The Bucs are scoring 29.6 points per game (7th in the NFL), and there’s a lot of room for improvement in their offensive game. Still, Tampa converted 28 of its 40 red-zone attempts, enough for the seventh-best in the league.

The Buccaneers are yielding 22.6 points per contest (8th) on 76.6 rushing yards (1st) and 223.7 passing yards (10th).

Rams vs. Buccaneers Pick

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Win

I was all over the Bucs last Sunday, and I’m doing the same this Monday, looking for Tampa to win straight up. If you’re not satisfied with the odds, I suggest you go with the Bucs to cover a 2.5-point spread.

The Rams are an excellent defensive team, but so are the Bucs, who undoubtedly possess more offensive weapons than LA. Jared Goff is mostly terrible under pressure, and the Bucs will be fired up to make his life miserable at Raymond James Stadium.

Tampa is 3-1 straight up and 2-2 ATS at home this season. After that humiliation against New Orleans last time at home, I’m pretty sure the Bucs will prove their worth. It’s not going to be easy against the Rams’ defense, but I don’t trust Jared Goff and LA’s offense at all.

The Rams are 1-3 SU and ATS in their previous four road games.
