The Los Angeles Rams head to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday, November 1, to take on the Miami Dolphins, as the NFL betting action goes on with Week 8 matchups.

These two interconference foes haven’t met each other since 2016, while the Dolphins have won 10 of their previous 11 encounters with the Rams.

Both teams are enjoying a good season, so we’ll see a great game Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium. Here’s my best Rams vs. Dolphins betting pick along with the latest odds update.

Rams vs. Dolphins Odds

Rams -3.5-110
Dolphins +3.5-110
Rams to Win-190
Dolphins to Win+170
Over 49.0-110
Under 49.0-110

The Rams opened as 3.5-point favorites, but keep tracking some of the best online sportsbooks, as the lines and odds could change in the next few days.

LA played its Week 7 clash on Monday Night Football, while Miami is coming off a bye.

Los Angeles Rams Analysis

The Rams are coming off an impressive 24-10 victory over the Chicago Bears. LA’s defense tortured Nick Foles and the Bears’ offensive line for all 60 minutes, and Chicago scored the only touchdown thanks to its defensive unit.

Jared Goff tossed for 219 yards and a couple of touchdowns, while the Rams ran for 161 yards. They allowed only 49 rushing yards to the Bears who failed to score a TD on both their red-zone drives. Also, the Rams picked off Foles twice.

Los Angeles is allowing only 17.7 points per contest (2nd in the NFL). On the other side of the ball, the Rams are tallying 25.1 points per game (19th) on 385.7 total yards (10th).

The Rams are 5-2 after the first seven rounds. They need to continue with a strong performance, as the competition in the NFC West is pretty stiff with all four teams above .500.

Miami Dolphins Analysis

The Dolphins are coming off a bye, searching for their third straight victory. They beat San Francisco 43-17 and New York Jets 24-0 in their last two outings to improve to 3-3 on the season, but the Dolphins decided to make some significant changes ahead of Week 8.

Tua Tagovailoa will get his first NFL start, as the 22-year-old rookie signal-caller will replace Ryan Fitzpatrick. That’s a strange decision, and Fitzpatrick enjoyed a wonderful season, throwing for 1,535 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

The Dolphins are scoring 26.7 points per game (12th) on 354.3 total yards (22nd). They are yielding only 18.8 points in a return (3rd) on 360.2 total yards (16th), and Miami leads the NFL in opponent 3rd down conversion percentage (31.3%).

Rams vs. Dolphins Prediction and Betting Pick

I’m not sure what to expect from Tua Tagovailoa, and I’m pretty sure that Miami should have chosen some other occasion to give it’s rookie a starting call.

The Rams’ defensive unit is one of the best in the league, so I won’t be surprised if Tua has a terrible day in the office and Ryan Fitzpatrick gets another chance to play.

Anyway, the Rams’ offense hasn’t impressed thus far and will have problems moving the ball easily against the Dolphins. Miami’s D has improved a lot, so I’m looking for a tight clash and fewer than 50 points in the total.
