Leicester City vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers – EPL, November 8, 2020

Leicester has come back from two surprising home defeats at the beginning of October to climb up the table – and this week it takes on Wolves at the King Power.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side is looking like it will be pushing for European qualification again and would overtake Leicester by beating it on Sunday.

As good a team as Wolves is, I really like the look of the home win bet odds here. Leicester might have lost two at home already this season – and that could be the reason for MyBookie’s pricing – but Brendan Rodgers has his players looking very impressive so far and the home win has to be the most likely outcome.

Leeds had been one of the most exciting looking teams in the EPL this season. But Brendan Rodgers had a perfect game plan set up and came away with a very impressive 4-1 win from Elland Road on Monday. The weather conditions helped neither side but the Foxes were by far the better team.

Jamie Vardy was, once again, the real threat up front – and his pace and touch were just too much for the Leeds defense all evening. He did only score one of the goals in the game though, so Rodgers will be pleased that his demands for other players to step up in that department have been answered.

But Wolves will believe that it has enough steel at the back to stop Vardy from adding to his goal tally on Sunday. Only Arsenal has conceded fewer goals than Wolves this season and Nuno Espirito Santo’s back line also weighs in with its fair share of attacking plays as well.

There had been a worry that Wolves would miss Diogo Jota, who has been starring for Liverpool since his move at the end of the transfer window. But it is areal credit to this team that it has not looked as though it has missed one of its best players since he left the club.

Even with Manchester City vs Liverpool and Arsenal vs Aston Villa scheduled later in the day, this fixture could end up being the best game of the weekend. Both sides like to attack but have very impressive defensive units to nullify opponents. Something will have to give and I feel as though it might be because of that man Jamie Vardy again.
