Leeds United vs. Everton – EPL, February 3, 2021

Leeds surprised Leicester at the weekend and will be confident of following it up with another important three points on Wednesday.

Everton has started to falter again after a good run of games and needs to pick up some points from somewhere to ensure it doesn’t fall away from the European places in the Premier League.

Leeds United vs. Everton Odds

Leeds United to Win+140
The Draw+235
Everton to Win+191

It might be because of the open way that Leeds plays the game, but BetOnline’s odds for this game seem good value for any of the three options. There can be a good argument made for either eventuality – but if Leeds plays as it did against Leicester, the home win bet looks good.

Leeds United vs. Everton Match Preview

Leeds went one goal down against Leicester on Sunday but struck back almost immediately and then used its attacking style of soccer to end up winning 3-1 away from home against one of the better teams in the Premier League this season. The Foxes were missing key players but just couldn’t contain the forward moves of Leeds.

Patrick Bamford was, once again, one of the star players in Marcelo Bielsa’s side – and he scored an excellent goal for the second after being heavily involved in the first goal as well. It was the fourth away game in five fixtures for Leeds – but this is a team that doesn’t care where it plays.

Everton is another team that has done very well away from Goodison Park this season – and has actually now lost its last three games at home. The latest defeat was a terrible performance against Newcastle on Saturday, and there has to be some kind of reaction to that from the players now.

Carlo Ancelotti seemed disgusted at the lack of spirit shown by his Everton players in that game and will demand better at Elland Road. The Toffees did start fairly brightly but had been second best for quite a while before Newcastle scored two in the last 20 minutes. Everton can surely be not as bad against Leeds.

Leeds United vs. Everton Pick

  • The Draw

If anything, Patrick Bamford has enjoyed playing away from Elland Road more than at home this season – but he will still be one of the main threats against Everton on Wednesday. But I also feel as though the away team will raise its game considerably after the woeful Newcastle game. Leeds might just be unlucky to face this team after a poor weekend. A draw might be the end result.
