La Liga Predictions and Picks for Round 30 (April 2-4, 2022)

Fear not, La Liga fans, the international break is done and dusted. After two weeks without any top-flight Spanish soccer, the action resumes this weekend.
Round 30 gets underway on Saturday, April 2, starting with Mallorca’s trip to Getafe. Real Madrid and Atletico Marid are also in action on Saturday, before Barcelona and Sevilla go head-to-head on Sunday.
Join me as I go over my La Liga predictions for Round 30. You will be pleased to learn that I have scoured the top La Liga betting sites to find the best picks for Round 30.
La Liga Odds and Fixtures for Round 30
- Getafe (2.15) vs. Mallorca (3.80)
- Levante (3.75) vs. Villarreal (1.95)
- Celta Vigo (4.00) vs. Real Madrid (1.90)
- Atletico Madrid (1.37) vs. Alaves (9.00)
- Athletic Bilbao (1.47) vs. Elche (7.00)
- Real Betis (2.00) vs. Osasuna (3.80)
- Granada (2.60) vs. Rayo Vallecano (2.90)
- Valencia (1.90) vs. Cadiz (4.33)
- Barcelona (1.47) vs. Sevilla (7.00)
- Real Sociedad (1.65) vs. Espanyol (5.50)
In the eyes of the bookmakers, there are eight home favorites in Round 30. Only two sides – Villarreal and Real Madrid – are favored to win on their travels this weekend.
There is absolutely no denying that Sevilla’s trip to Barcelona is the standout tie of the round. With just three points between them in the La Liga standings, Sunday’s showdown is destined to be an epic battle.
It’s time to get stuck into my La Liga Round 30 predictions.
Real Madrid to Beat Celta Vigo
Despite suffering a humiliating 4-0 thrashing against Barcelona before the international break, Real Madrid remains in the driving seat. The league leaders still find themselves nine points clear of second-place Sevilla and look set to reclaim the title.
On the flip side, Celta Vigo has managed to pick up just one victory in the past six rounds. As a result, the Sky Blues sit eleventh in the La Liga standings – 30 points behind Real Madrid. That’s why I’m backing Carlo Ancelotti’s boys to secure the win on Saturday.
Atletico Madrid to Beat Alaves
Atletico Madrid returns from the international break on a five-game winning run in La Liga – and a seven-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.
Since the turn of the year, Diego Simeone’s men have won eight of their 11 La Liga outings. Let’s not forget that they also booked their spot in the Champions League quarter-finals by dispatching English giant Manchester United.
By contrast, Alaves has failed to pick up a single victory across the past five rounds. Not only are Jose Luis Mendilibar’s boys five points from safety, but they are also 32 points behind Atletico.
I’m confident that Simeone’s men will extend their winning run to six games on Saturday. Having kept five clean sheets in their previous eight matches, they appear to be back to their best.
Barcelona and Sevilla to Draw
As I already mentioned, Barcelona crushed Real Madrid a fortnight ago. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagged a brace as Barca ran riot at the Bernabeu, taking his tally to nine goals in 11 appearances for the Catalans.
Xavi’s boys have lost just one of their last 18 La Liga clashes and head into Round 30 on a 13-game unbeaten streak. They also claimed five straight league wins before the lay-off, scoring over 3.5 goals on four occasions during that period.
It is worth noting, however, that Julen Lopetegui’s men have drawn seven of their previous nine league games. For that reason, I expect them to frustrate Barca and leave Camp Nou with a point.
Remaining La Liga Predictions for Round 30
- Getafe to Beat Mallorca
- Villarreal to Beat Levante
- Athletic Bilbao to Beat Elche
- Real Betis to Beat Osasuna
- Granada and Rayo Vallecano to Draw
- Valencia to Beat Cadiz
- Real Sociedad to Beat Espanyol
I expect Getafe, Athletic Bilbao, Real Betis, Valencia, and Real Sociedad to win one home soil this weekend. Elsewhere, I’m backing Villarreal to claim a road victory against lowly Levante.
Rayo Vallecano’s trip to Granada is the only game in which a draw looks like the most probable outcome. Both sides are in poor form and are separated by just four points in the table.
Top La Liga Picks for Round 30
- Getafe vs. Mallorca – Getafe to Win (2.15)
- Levante vs. Villarreal – Villarreal to Win (1.95)
- Valencia vs. Cadiz – Both Teams to Score (2.05)
Mallorca comes into Round 30 on a six-game losing streak. Worse still, the Pirates have the second-worst defensive record in La Liga. Odds of 2.15 for Getafe to beat struggling Mallorca? Yes, please!
Believe it or not, both teams have scored in 20 of Valencia’s 29 league matches this season. Opting for the BTTS wager for Cadiz’s trip to Valencia makes perfect sense – and the price is tasty, too!
