KT Wiz Suwon vs. Lotte Giants Betting Preview – KBO, Wednesday, September 23, 2020
I must admit that my prediction for the series opener between Suwon and the Giants was way off. I thought that KT Wiz had a shot at winning despite starting the worse pitcher, but Lotte won the game by 8-0.
It’s safe to say that I’m not proud of this one and I believe I can do much better with KT Wiz Suwon vs. Lotte Giants betting preview for the second game of the series. In this post, I go through the latest odds and team news, before sharing my free betting pick.
KT Wiz vs. Giants Odds
The KT Wiz Suwon vs. Lotte Giants odds suggest that the roles should be reversed in the second game of the series on Wednesday. I can certainly see why and you can understand too by checking out my analysis of both sides.
KT Wiz Suwon Stats and Team News
Every good thing comes to an end and that’s what happened to Suwon’s winning streak on Tuesday. The offense had a day off and while the defense wasn’t as bad as the score suggests, a meltdown in the sixth inning allowed the opponent to score six runs.
Everything went wrong for KT Wiz in the opener, but I’m sure that the team can bounce back on Wednesday. One of the reasons is William Cuevas who has been reliable this season. The pitcher has a 3.87 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP over 14 starts and his numbers over the past month are even better.
He certainly can contain the Giants in game two and I’m pretty sure that Suwon’s offense won’t allow another zero, so KT Wiz is rightfully the favorite in this one.
Lotte Giants Stats and Team News
The Giants had a strong advantage in the starting pitchers department on Tuesday and took full advantage to earn a solid win. The situation should be different in the upcoming clash because Cuevas is no joke.
The good news is that Lotte’s choice is strong too. Adrian Sampson struggled at the start of the season and has overall stats of a 5.42 ERA and a 1.56 WHIP. That’s below average, but a closer look shows that the guy has improved dramatically.
He has a 2.13 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP over his last 25 innings, so Sampson can deliver a good performance. The problem is that he can’t rely on too much support from the offense.
KT Wiz vs. Giants Prediction and Pick
I’m on the fence for this one because I see two interesting bets. Backing KT Wiz Suwon to win the second game is not a bad choice, but I believe that going for the under 10.5 runs is better. Both sides are sending in-form pitchers, so it should be a tight clash.
