The next series is against Lotte, a team that’s also desperately trying to qualify for the postseason. The Giants are currently seventh, but a strong push in the last month of the regular season could be enough.

They certainly will have enough opportunities against Min Soo Kim and they should receive some solid support by Dan Straily. He’s been excellent for most of the season and has a 2.78 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP. The problem is that his numbers have taken a hit in August and September, so it’s hard to expect a complete shutdown.

I’m surprised by the odds in this game and I assume the betting sites expect a strong game by Straily. He’s a solid pitcher but he hasn’t been the same lately, so I believe that it’s much closer than the lines suggest. KT Wiz can beat the Giants and I’m more than willing to take the price of +180.
