KIA Tigers vs. Hanwha Eagles Betting Preview – KBO, Saturday, September 5, 2020
The Hanwha Eagles were able to earn a victory over one of the top sides in the country on Friday and you don’t see that every day. The last-placed team in the KBO beat Kiwoom, but I believe that the injury crisis of the Heroes was the main reason behind that.
The Eagles will have the chance to prove me wrong in the upcoming series against the KIA Tigers. The two sides will meet twice over the weekend and I share my prediction for the first clash in this KIA Tigers vs. Hanwha Eagles betting preview.
It also features the latest odds, a quick look at the starting pitchers, and a free betting pick.

KIA Tigers Team Analysis
The Tigers were involved in an exhausting battle against the Lotte Giants this week. The teams faced each other three times within two days and all of them were close. KIA came out on top twice and remains closer to the fifth place in the standings that provides the last quota for the KBO playoffs.
The next series should be much easier for the Tigers because they face the last-placed team in the KBO. The problem is that KIA is expected to start Min Woo Lee from the start and he’s been one of the worse pitchers of the Tigers.
He has a 5.69 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP, losing most of the games he started in August. If you combine that with the busy schedule, the Tigers might struggle in the opener.
Hanwha Eagles Team Analysis
You won’t see many 7-1 wins in favor of the Eagles, especially against teams from the top of the KBO standings! Hanwha’s morale should be high after Friday’s victory over the Kiwoom Heroes and the question is if that could lead to more of the same in the next couple of days.
The opponent will start a rather poor pitcher, but the same applies to the Eagles. Warwick Saupold is expected to get the nod and he’s leading the KBO in defeats. You can’t expect much from a guy with a 5.25 over more than 15 games.
The offense will have to carry Saturday’s clash and I’m not so sure that will be the case.
Tigers vs. Eagles Prediction and Pick
I’m not sure why the odds for this one are so close, I think that the Tigers should’ve been a heavier favorite. That’s why backing them to win at -125 looks like the best betting pick for Saturday’s clash against the Eagles.
