Keeneland Race Course Picks – Saturday, October 24, 2020

Keeneland brings us ten thoroughbred races today on both turf and the main track, with plenty of moneymaking opportunities at the betting window.
Remember that while I predict the winners and other profitable bets in the three top races at Keeneland today, you can find their full slate of races—along with the entries, jockeys, and wagering options—with a visit to one of our best online racebooks.
Read on for my Keeneland Race Course picks and tips for Saturday’s richest races.
Picks for Keeneland Race Course Race 4
This is an allowance race for two-year-olds running a distance of 1-1/16 miles on turf for a purse of $71,000.
I’m going with the third-favored (9/2) Like a King, with Rafael Bejarano in the irons. This colt moneyed both of his career starts, winning one of them, making him the statistical leader here. It also helps that his pilot is the winningest jockey in this race.
Plenty of potential stars in this race, and I think the 20/1 longshot odds on Texas Rule, with Julien Leparoux aboard, offers us a good opportunity to place a value show wager. This colt broke his maiden in his single career start back in September.
- Win: Like a King 9/2
- Show: Texas Rule 20/1
Picks for Keeneland Race Course Race 7
This is an allowance race for three-year-olds and upward running a distance of 5-1/2 furlongs on turf for a purse of $71,000.
I’m backing the second-favored (5/1) entry here—Fooch, ridden by Gerardo Corrales. This six-year-old gelding moneyed eight of his 13 career starts, winning three of them.
At 20/1, I have to like Equal Justice, with James Graham aboard. This four-year-old gelding finished in the money for 11 of his 18 career starts, winning one. Show ticket only.
- Win: Fooch 5/1
- Show: Equal Justice 20/1
Picks for Keeneland Race Course Race 9
This is an allowance race for three-year-old fillies running a distance of one mile on turf for a purse of $75,000.
I’m backing the 5/2 morning line favorite here—In Good Spirits, with Miguel Mena in the irons. This filly finished in the money for three of her six career starts, winning two of them.
At 15/1 you may want to buy a show ticket on Alliaceous, with Corey J. Lanerie aboard. This filly moneyed three of her four career starts—all of them wins. You may even want to go across-the-board here.
- Win: In Good Spirits 5/2
- Show/Across the Board: Alliaceous 15/1
