KBO Predictions and Analysis – Tuesday, October 12

The battle for the playoffs in South Korean baseball continues this week. On Monday, the KBO leaders KT Wiz Suwon achieved a vital victory over the LG Twins while the other teams were resting.

Most of them will return on Tuesday, and we have four fixtures on the schedule. I provide my KBO predictions for all of the following games below.

The mood of Suwon’s players should be excellent after the crucial win against the Twins on Monday. The teams traded victories over the past few days, which works in KT Wiz’s favor because it keeps the gap intact.

The squad has another tough task in the next round against the Doosan Bears. On the bright side, KT Wiz has a positive H2H record against this opponent in 2021 and is about to start the slightly better pitcher.

You can add to that Doosan’s recent slump. The team lost some steam after a strong September, and that’s to be expected.

All things considered, I believe that KT Wiz Suwon should be able to win Tuesday’s clash.

The SSG Landers are tied with two other teams and are currently in a wild battle for the last spots in the postseason. I’m afraid the side’s ambitions will take a huge hit on Tuesday, though, because the Twins are expected to send one of the best pitchers in the league.

He certainly knows how to shut SSG’s offense, and I expect more of the same on Tuesday.

LG’s bullpen is excellent, too, and that’s enough for me to pick the team in my KBO predictions for October 12.

If there’s a game on Tuesday that could go either way, it’s this one. We will see two of the top pitchers in South Korea. Both Drew Rucinski and Eric Jokisch have been excellent in 2021, so I don’t expect too many runs on Tuesday.

The Dinos have been slightly stronger recently, and they have a better offense, but the H2H record and the better bullpen favor the Heroes.

I think they can hit harder in the late innings, and that should be enough for a vital victory on Tuesday.

And yet, I remind you that the two teams have identical records, and both need to win this one, so the clash is close to unpredictable.

The Kia Tigers were great last week, and I was surprised by their performances. The team has no chance of qualifying for the playoffs, but the lack of pressure has impacted the players positively so far.

I would consider a surprise against the Lions on Tuesday if it weren’t for David Buchanan’s turn in the rotation. The American has been Samsung’s most reliable pitcher this season and one of the top players in this position in the entire league.

The guy has excellent stats, and he will be backed up by solid offensive players and a reliable bullpen. That’s enough for me to pick the Lions in my KBO predictions for October 12.
