KBO Predictions and Analysis – Thursday, October 21

Every KBO game feels like a battle at this point of the season and we saw clear evidence of that in the previous round. The league leaders lost against one of the teams that have nothing to fight for, while the other two fixtures were close until the very last throw.

I believe we will see more tight encounters on Thursday and I share my thoughts on all games in my KBO predictions for October 21. Here are the fixtures on the schedule.

The last two teams in the South Korean baseball league play against each other in a clash that won’t affect the final standings. The Tigers have been dominant in the H2H games against the Eagles this season, winning ten and drawing two of the fifteen encounters so far.

Kia’s recent form has been excellent too and the team just defeated the top side in the country. On top of that, the Tigers are starting the stronger pitcher in this clash. Here are two players who are projected to begin.

The numbers look comparable and Hanwha’s guy even has the better record. And yet, Lee Eui-lee has two wins from the same number of starts against the Eagles already. He knows how to keep this particular opponent quiet.

If you add the excellent H2H record of the Tigers, I see way more reasons to back them in my KBO predictions for October 21.

The Doosan Bears improved dramatically in the past couple of months and they look in a good position to win the fourth place in the standings.

The offense has been the key to success, but the defense carried multiple games too. The team has to keep going and the next clash will be a challenge.

The Landers have shown a lot of character, winning many fixtures despite some injuries to key players. For the upcoming clash, they will be able to rely on Wilmer Font, one of their best starting pitchers. He has decent stats and two wins against the Bears already.

And yet, Doosan’s starter has been even better in 2021 and I simply can’t bet against him.

I trust him to stop any opponent and he has a strong offense to support him too. It’s enough for me to back the Bears in Thursday’s encounter.

I expected a win for the Twins against the Heroes in my KBO predictions for the previous round, but LG’s defense was below par.

I believe that the team has a good chance of bouncing back immediately, though. The promising youngster Lim Jun-hyeung has been solid in the past few weeks, while Kiwoom’s starter Jeong Chan-heon has struggled big time recently.

The Twins have a good record against the Heroes in 2021 which is another reason to believe that they can get the job done.
