KBO Predictions and Analysis – Wednesday, September 15 (2021)
The elite South Korean baseball league brought us a ton of runs on Tuesday, and this might be the highest-scoring round in 2021. We saw over 12 runs per game, and every single team scored at least three runs. It’s interesting if this trend will continue on Wednesday.
I share my expectation in my KBO predictions for September 15. Here are the games I cover, and I hope this post helps your KBO betting action for the upcoming round.
- Hanwha Eagles vs. SSG Landers
- KT Wiz Suwon vs. Doosan Bears
- LG Twins vs. Samsung Lions
- Lotte Giants vs. Kia Tigers
- Kiwoom Heroes vs. NC Dinos
SSG Landers to Beat Hanwha Eagles
I expected a win from the Eagles on Tuesday, and they delivered. Their offense was immense, but I’m not sure that would be the case in the next clash between these two teams.
Sam Gaviglio is next in SSG’s rotation, and he’s been excellent recently after a tough start in South Korean baseball. The American won his last two games, and it looks like he’s adapted to the KBO already.
Keeping one of the worst offensive sides in the country quiet shouldn’t be much of a problem. The Eagles are sending a solid pitcher too, so I don’t expect many runs in this one.
The Landers have the stronger offense and a more reliable bullpen, so they should be able to win on Wednesday.
KT Wiz Suwon to Beat Doosan Bears
The KBO leaders won a close clash against the Bears on Tuesday, and I think the next game will be tight too.
William Cuevas should get the nod for KT Wiz Suwon, while Choi Won-joon is next for the Bears. The Korean has been better as a whole, but Doosan’s poor record against this opponent is not a coincidence.
KT Wiz is the better side, and I expect another victory on September 15, mostly thanks to the team’s more prolific offense.
LG Twins to Beat Samsung Lions
The LG Twins managed to draw a game I expected them to lose in the previous round, so a victory on Wednesday would be enough to reclaim second place in the KBO standings.
That’s a powerful motivator, and the team can rely on Casey Kelly next. The pitcher has been excellent this season and already beat the Lions once.
He can keep the opponents quiet, and I’m not sure the same can be said about Samsung’s choice. Choi Chae-heung has been inconsistent this season, and he was demolished in his only clash against the Twins so far.
All things considered, I believe that backing LG in my KBO predictions for September 15 is the smart choice.
Lotte Giants to Beat Kia Tigers
The Lotte Giants earned a precious victory against the Tigers on Tuesday, and they now have the chance to add two more on Wednesday.
Enderson Franco should start the first clash of the day for the Giants, and he’s been decent this year. His stats are certainly a lot better compared to Kia’s Kim Hyeon-su, who’s been struggling big time.
Lotte’s offense has all the means to punish any mistake, and the team’s recent form has been great, so I prefer the Giants in this one.
Kiwoom Heroes to Beat NC Dinos
It looked like the Kiwoom Heroes would beat the Dinos in the previous round, but the reigning champions scored eight runs in quick succession to break their opponents.
The good news for Kiwoom is that the next game is just around the corner, and the team is expected to send a much stronger starting pitcher on Wednesday. Jeong Chan-heon has a 7-2 record on excellent stats.
He should receive enough support from the offense, based on the fact that Shin Min-hyeok is next in NC’s rotation. The pitcher’s last three games have been tough, and I expect him to concede plenty of runs once again.
