KBO Predictions for Round 137 – Saturday, October 10, 2020

We saw some interesting South Korea baseball games on Friday and the same series continue on Saturday. I share my KBO predictions for all encounters on October 10 in this post and each comes with short reasoning.

There won’t be odds or betting picks included because the lines of the leading baseball sportsbooks are not yet available.

And here are all games included in my KBO predictions for Saturday, October 10.

I’ve picked the Samsung Lions two or three times in a row and they came close on every occasion before losing dramatically. The team did the job this time around and the Giants are almost certainly out of the KBO playoffs as a result.

The bad news for them is that Saturday’s game could be similar. The Lions once again have the advantage when it comes to the starting pitchers and their offense has been firing lately. I expect another victory for Samsung and that should put an end to Lotte’s hopes for something special this season.

I expect a win for the Twins in the series opener because they had the better starting pitcher on Friday and the team delivered. The problem for LG is that the roles will be reversed on Saturday and Drew Rucinski should get the nod for the Dinos.

He’s been almost flawless in 2020 and is arguably one of the best pitchers in the entire league. Rucinski already led his team to 18 victories this season and I expect another one in the upcoming clash.

The only concern is that NC’s offense has been inconsistent this week, but the same applies to the opposition. I still prefer to trust the Dinos in my KBO predictions for Saturday.

The Doosan Bears earned a vital win over KT Wiz on Friday and that opens the door to second place in the KBO standings. The reigning champions suffocated the opposition and didn’t allow any runs over the course of the game.

You don’t see that every day and I’m sure that Suwon is ready to bounce back on Saturday. Both sides are expected to send some of their top pitchers on the field, so it should be another tight game.

I believe that such a scenario suits KT Wiz more and I prefer to back Suwon, but it should be close.

The opening game between the Tigers and the Wyverns could’ve gone either way, but the favorite was able to register a 5-3 victory after some early blows. That keeps KIA’s fragile hopes for a place in the KBO playoffs alive and the team has a good chance to win again on Saturday.

The Wyverns are expected to send a pitcher who has no wins this season, so the Tigers will have plenty of chances to find runs. Their own starter is not too reliable either, but he’s still slightly better and the offense of the team has been more consistent than SK’s batters.

All things considered, I expect plenty of runs and a victory for the KIA Tigers.

I’m not sure what changed in the Eagles camp, but that’s not the team we’ve been watching all year long. Hanwha looks dangerous and already beat several top opponents in the last month or so. It was too little too late obviously, but the Eagles look competitive towards the end of the regular season.

The Heroes felt that first hand on Friday when they lost by 7-6. The good news is that the next clash should be easier because Kiwoom is starting a much better pitcher. I prefer to back the favorite here, but the Eagles have been unpredictable lately, so be careful with this one.
