KBO Predictions for Round 134 – Wednesday, October 7, 2020

| October 6, 2020 9:32 am PDT

Most games at the start of this KBO week were close, and we even saw several extra innings. It’s clear that all South Korea baseball teams are doing their best with only several weeks left of the regular season.

I expect another exciting round of games on Wednesday, and I share my KBO predictions for all fixtures in this post. You won’t find any odds or betting picks because the leading bookmakers online are yet to release their lines.

Here are all games included in my KBO predictions for Wednesday, October 7.

  • Hanwha Eagles vs. KIA Tigers
  • KT Wiz Suwon vs. Lotte Giants
  • NC Dinos vs. Kiwoom Heroes
  • Doosan Bears vs. SK Wyverns
  • Samsung Lions vs. LG Twins

KIA Tigers to Beat Hanwha Eagles

The Tigers and Eagles will play twice on Wednesday, so let me clarify that this prediction is for the opening game. Both sides are expected to start pitchers that can’t be trusted too much, so the offenses should enjoy plenty of success.

This one has the potential to be wild from start to finish, which makes it hard to predict. And yet, KIA has shown the ability to punish struggling pitchers on multiple occasions this season, and I expect to see more of the same by the Tigers in game two of the series.

The Eagles are not doomed by any means, but their own offense will have to step up big time if they are going to win this clash.

Lotte Giants to Beat KT Wiz Suwon

The opening game between the two sides was a close battle that could’ve gone either way. The early damage that the Giants did was too much to overcome at the end, and the team managed to record a priceless 10-9 victory on Tuesday.

KT Wiz will have the opportunity to bounce back on Wednesday, but I’m not too confident in the side’s chances. The Giants’ offense looked strong, and the team is expected to send the better pitcher for the second encounter of the series.

That’s enough for me to back Lotte in my KBO predictions for Wednesday.

NC Dinos to Beat Kiwoom Heroes

The Heroes barely beat their opponent on Tuesday, despite starting their best pitcher. The Dinos are so good right now that you have to do something extra special to close a game against them.

I’m not sure that Kiwoom has the means to achieve that on Wednesday. The Heroes should give the nod to one of their shaky pitchers, and their offense has been struggling in the past several weeks.

If you add the fact that the KBO leaders have selected a solid pitcher for this game, the only logical choice would be to back them.

Doosan Bears to Beat SK Wyverns

Doosan’s offense has returned, and the team has been able to build a decent winning streak because of that. The second clash against the Wyverns should be once again decided by the batters, as both sides are sending pitchers with awful records.

I would always prefer the Bears under such circumstances. They have been prolific for most of the season, while the Wyverns have the second-worst offense in the country. That’s more than enough for me to back Doosan in my KBO predictions for Wednesday.

Samsung Lions to Beat LG Twins

The Samsung Lions just keep messing with the plans of the teams fighting for the KBO playoffs. They beat the Twins in the series opener on Tuesday, and they have the better-projected starting pitcher for the second game on Wednesday.

I expect another close clash that could go both ways, but the pressure is on the Twins. Samsung is playing for honor mostly, and that has boosted the team’s performance. The Lions can beat anyone nowadays, so I prefer to back them once again on Wednesday.
