Picks and Predictions for KBO Games – Wednesday, May 25th, 2022
Our KBO picks are back as we head into Wednesday this week. Yesterday was the series opener for each of the 5 games, so these will be Game 2 between each of the 10 teams.
The SSG Landers extended their 1st place lead to 5 games, as they continue their winning ways in 2022. The LG Twins pulled to within 3 games a couple of days ago, but have lost two straight. They are 5 games back, while 7th place (Doosan Bears) is just 3.5 games behind them.
The standings are incredibly close and it’s still early in the season. There’s still a lot of the schedule left, so it’s important for these teams to try and gain as much ground as possible.
Let’s take a look at the KBO betting odds for Wednesday to see which teams are favored to win.
KBO Odds for Wednesday, May 25th, 2022
- Kiwoom Heroes (-121) vs. LG Twins (-109), O/U 7.5
- Lotte Giants (+183) vs. SSG Landers (-223), O/U 8
- Doosan Bears (-126) vs. Hanwha Eagles (-104), O/U 8
- Kia Tigers (-165) vs. Samsung Lions (+135), O/U 8
- KT Wiz (+118) vs. NC Dinos (-148), O/U 7.5
Here are the KBO odds for each of the 5 games set for Wednesday. Two of the games could have some bad weather, so hopefully they can fit the game in before it gets too bad.
Kiwoom will be taking on LG after they beat them 6-4 yesterday. Neither team has odds in positive territory, so that should mean this game could go either way. It’s also one of the lowest scoring totals of the slate at 7.5 runs, so it could be a bit low-scoring as well compared to the others.
The Landers were able to beat the Lotte Giants yesterday 3-2, which was a big one over Lotte’s ace Charlie Barnes. Barnes has been incredible in 2022, so that was a pretty big one for the Landers.
Hanwha was able to upset the struggling Bears yesterday, but the Bears are favored to get back in the winner’s column on Wednesday.
Kia has the edge over the Samsung Lions, but both teams have been playing at a very high level over the last couple of weeks. This should be an interesting game, so keep an eye on this one.
The Dinos were able to beat the Wiz 3-2 yesterday and are favored to beat them again as well.

KBO Predictions for Wednesday’s Games
- Kiwoom Heroes Over LG Twins
- SSG Landers Over Lotte Giants
- Hanwha Eagles Over Doosan Bears
- Kia Tigers Over Samsung Lions
- NC Dinos Over KT Wiz
These will be my KBO predictions for who wins each game on Wednesday.
Kiwoom was able to beat the Twins yesterday and could extend their losing streak to 3 games. That would make them tied for second place in the standings, as they are both neck and neck right now.
An Woo-jin takes the mound for the Heroes with his stellar 2.25 ERA. His opponent is Im Chan-kyu, who has a much worse ERA at 5.27 as well.
Yes, the Eagles are incredibly unreliable to bet on but I think they have another chance at an upset here. They are sending Ryan Carpenter to the mound, while Choi Seung-yong opposes. Carpenter has missed some time this year and only has three starts, but he’s gone 5 innings and given up 2 runs or less in all three.
Seung-yong has been converted from the bullpen to a starter and his performances have been a mixed bag.
Kia and Samsung both have great pitchers on the mound, but the Tigers have been better offensively all year and in their last 10 games. It should be close, but the Tigers should have the better chance of winning.
The Dinos’ offense ranks 3rd best in the KBO in their last 10 games. Both pitchers are strong in this one too, so it could be decided by one run again.
Top KBO Betting Picks to Target for 5/25/2022
These are going to be my 3 best KBO betting picks for Wednesday’s games. There’s a lot of great pitchers starting on Wednesday, so I’ll be relying on them.
My first under bet is going to be in the Giants and Landers’ game. As I said earlier, Wilmer Font takes the mound for the Landers and he’s been incredible this season. Lee In-bok has been solid as well with a 3.65 ERA this year.
The Landers should have a higher chance of winning, but their offense has been a bit unreliable recently. That combined with the good pitchers taking the mound has me taking the under rather than a moneyline at a pretty fair price.
Yes, the Tigers have the best offense in the KBO, but Won Tae-in is taking the mound for the Lions. He has a great 2.35 ERA this year and held Kia to just one earned run in 5.2 innings the last time they faced off.
Yang Hyeon-jong has been solid this year too with a 2.29 ERA. He gave up just 2 runs in 7 innings earlier this year against Samsung.
My final KBO pick of the day is going to be the under in the Wiz and Eagles game. They had a combined 5 runs in their last game and both have great pitchers going in this one.
Ko Young-pyo (3.23 ERA) will take the mound for the Wiz, while Drew Rucinski (1.66 ERA) will toe the rubber for NC.
