Picks and Predictions for KBO Games – Wednesday, June 7th, 2022

Welcome back to our daily KBO picks as we move into Wednesday this week. The Doosan Bears, Kiwoom Heroes, NC Dinos, and Samsung Lions were all able to start their weeks off right with a win.

With Kiwoom’s win and SSG’s loss to NC, the Heroes have pulled within 2.5 games of first place. That’s the smallest margin for the Landers lead in quite some time, as the surging Heroes are right on their tail.

Will the Landers be able to gain some distance between them and the rest of the pack again? Or is their long reign of dominance this year coming to an end? Let’s check out Wednesday’s KBO betting odds to see which teams are favored to win.

After beating the Eagles 3-1 on Tuesday, the Doosan Bears moved to 4-2 for their head to head record. They are the favorite for Wednesday’s game as well, as they look to keep improving on their 6th place spot in the standings.

Kiwoom just keeps winning, as they are 8-2 in their last 10 games. They shutout the Wiz on Tuesday for a 3-0 win and are projected to add another to their recent dominance for Wednesday.

The Twins and Tigers game was unfortunately canceled yesterday, but this game should be good to go. LG has won 4 of 5 head to head games against the Tigers this season, so they’ll look to continue that trend.

The first place Landers losing to the last place Dinos has to be one of the biggest upsets of the year. There were 5 unearned runs allowed by the Landers, which handed Kim Kwang-hyun his first loss of the season (6-1).

Samsung was able to beat Lotte yesterday in extra innings, but the Giants are favored to even this series up. The season series is 4-3 in the Lions favor, but they could have a tough time facing the Giants’ ace on Wednesday.

Here are my KBO predictions for who wins each game on Wednesday.

Doosan could have a strong chance to extend their winning streak to three games with Choi Won-joon on the mound. He shut out Hanwha in 6 innings in his first 2022 appearance and should do well again here.

Yun Dae-kyung was obliterated by Doosan when he faced them last, allowing 9 runs while only getting just 2 batters out.

It’s hard to say who can stop Kiwoom right now. They are sending one of their best pitchers to the mound in Eric Jokisch (2.83 ERA), who has already beaten the Wiz once already. So Hyeong-jun didn’t do terribly against the Heroes his first time around, but he was credited with the loss.

It’s always odd to see the league’s worst team to be favored to beat the league’s best team. Wes Parsons (3.56 ERA) is a strong pitcher for the Dinos, but Lee Tae-yang (2.84 ERA) is very talented as well. SSG should have a strong chance of winning on Wednesday despite being the “underdog.”

Even though Charlie Barnes has been incredible this season for the Giants, they just seem too unreliable to bet on right now. They are 2-7-1 in their last 10 games, which is the worst of any KBO team.

Barnes has also allowed 3+ runs in 4 straight games, so he could be slowing down as well.

These are going to be my 3 best KBO betting picks for Wednesday’s slate.

The Bears should have a very high chance of beating the Eagles with Choi Won-joon on the mound. He’s been great this season and should be able to get plenty of run support.

Doosan’s 7.1 runs per game is the highest in the KBO in the last 10. They also absolutely destroyed Yun Dae-kyung the last time they faced him, getting him out of the game before the first inning even ended.

I’m a bit surprised the odds are at even money for the Bears to win by 2, so I’ll capitalize on a good price.

I think the Landers have a good chance of beating the Dinos despite being underdogs. Lee Tae-yang has already proven he can slow down NC’s offense before (6 IP, 1 ER on 5/15), while Wes Parsons has had a fair share of shaky outings in 2022.

Parsons has allowed 3+ runs in 4 of his 8 starts and the Landers just saw him in his last outing. They should be able to give Tae-yang some run support here and get revenge for yesterday’s game.
