Picks and Predictions for KBO Games – Wednesday, April 27th, 2022

The KBO season is moving right along as we head into Wednesday this week. Tuesday was the first game of the season between each of the 10 teams, with Wednesday being the 2nd game of the series.

The SSG Landers got yet another win yesterday, improving their first place record to 17-4. Hanwha has been on quite the tear as well since starting the season at the bottom of the standings.

They went 4-2 last week and also beat the Kiwoom Heroes yesterday. They are now sitting at 8-13 on the year, giving the NC Dinos sole possession of last place in the KBO (6-15).

With that being said, let’s hop right into Wednesday’s games and take a look at the odds.

The oddsmakers aren’t giving in to an underdog for the Tigers and Wiz again. They are evenly matched up and neither of them will have a true underdog moneyline. Kia has the slight edge, but it’s barely a difference.

You cannot say the same about the rest of the KBO odds. The Hanwha Eagles, LG Twins, NC DInos, and Lotte Giants all find themselves with plus odds for their moneylines.

With the Twins losing to the Lions and the Giants losing to the Landers, the Doosan Bears jumped up the standings to second place. They are 12-8 on the year and defeated the inferior NC Dinos 8-4 in yesterday’s game.

Like I said earlier, the Eagles are hot right now after a terrible start. They’ll be underdogs again against the Heroes, as a longer history of winning is needed to be seen from them. Will you be riding the hot hand, or betting that their magic runs out?

These are my KBO predictions for who comes out on top of the games set for Wednesday.

First up is the Kia Tigers and KT Wiz. The odds aren’t lying here with how close these teams are matched up. You can honestly go either way and have a reason to be right. Sean Nolin (Kia) vs. So Hyeong-jun (KT) is an even pitching matchup too, so go with your gut here.

Even though the Eagles have been good as of late, Kiwoom should have a chance of getting their revenge from yesterday. The pitching matchup is another close one too, so expect a low-scoring close game for the most part.

Yun Dae-kyung has been great this year and his career overall as well, so he can keep them in it. The reason why I have Kiwoom winning is because their bats and bullpen could have the edge.

Albert Suarez is coming off an impressive start (6 IP, 1 ER) against NC. His opposing pitcher is Lee Min-ho, who has not been sharp in 2022 (12.10 ERA).

The Dinos are also hard to trust in any game, especially when they play the second best team in the KBO right now.

Finally, I’ll take the Landers to get yet another win on Wednesday. They’ve been incredible in 2022 and have no signs of slowing down yet.

For my best KBO betting picks for Wednesday, I am taking the Lions F5 spread, Bears moneyline, and the under in the Landers vs. Giants game.

Albert Suarez should be able to hold the Twins down in the first five innings for the Lions. His only “bad” start this year was against the Landers. Other than that, he’s been lockdown with at least 6 innings pitched and 2 runs or less in his 3 other games.

Lee Min-ho has been bad all around, only lasting 3.2 innings in his longest start. He’s also allowed 2 or more runs in all 3 starts and 7 in his last one against the Eagles.

Although the Landers should have the upper hand tonight, their moneyline price isn’t too intriguing. Instead, the under seems to be a good bet with a better price.

Kim Kwang-hyun has basically been untouchable with his 0.47 ERA and 0.58 WHIP in 2022. Park Se-woong has also been respectable this season with a 1.82 ERA in 24.2 IP.
