Picks and Predictions for KBO Games – Thursday, May 26th, 2022
Welcome back to our daily KBO picks, as we head into Thursday this week. We were almost able to fit in all 5 games on schedule yesterday, but unfortunately the SSG Landers and Lotte Giants game was stopped in the 7th inning due to bad weather.
The weather looks to be better for Thursday’s slate, so hopefully everything goes according to plan. SSG had a commanding 9-1 lead in that game, so they are in perfect position to extend their now 6 game lead in the standings even further.
Let’s go ahead and see what the KBO betting odds are looking like for Thursday this week.
KBO Odds for Thursday, May 26th, 2022
- Lotte Giants (+246) vs. SSG Landers (-306), O/U 7.5
- Doosan Bears (-264) vs. Hanwha Eagles (+204), O/U 8
- Kiwoom Heroes (+109) vs. LG Twins (-139), O/U 6.5
- KT Wiz (-128) vs. NC Dinos (-102), O/U 9
- Kia Tigers (+107) vs. Samsung Lions (-137), O/U 7.5
Here are the KBO odds for each of the 5 games on Thursday’s slate from BetOnline.
Since yesterday’s postponement of the 8th and 9th innings in the Lotte vs. SSG game, I am unsure how that will carry over into this game. As of right now, the Landers are heavily favored to win and continue their dominance this season.
The Eagles have beaten the Bears 6-3 and 14-1 in the first two games of the series. I am a bit surprised to see the Bears as heavy favorites considering their recent struggles. Hanwha is still a very risky team to rely on in general, but their moneyline could have some serious value to it.
The Wiz and Dinos have each won 3-2 in their first two games of the series. It’s been neck and neck so far, so it’s not a surprise to see them both in negative odds territory for Game 3.
For the last game, the Kia Tigers will be underdogs against the Samsung Lions. Kia also has won the first two games of the series but that hasn’t earned them the favorite title for the last game of the series.
KBO Predictions for Thursday’s Games
- SSG Landers Over Lotte Giants
- Hanwha Eagles Over Doosan Bears
- Kiwoom Heroes Over LG Twins
- KT Wiz Over NC Dinos
- Kia Tigers Over Samsung Lions
In our last KBO predictions, we were basically able to go 4 for 5. SSG’s game technically didn’t finish, but they were winning by 8 in the 7th. Let’s see if we can continue our nice hot streak into Thursday.
The Landers are projected to send their ace Kim Kwang-hyun to the mound on Thursday, which should give them a high chance of winning. He’s 6-0 this year with a stellar 1.21 ERA. Na Gyun-an’s 1.42 is also impressive, but he’s made just one start this season.
Hanwha is going to be a risky team to bet on for Thursday, so make sure you are aware of that before placing your bets. Yun Dae-kyung (5.73 ERA) is an unreliable pitcher and they go up against Robert Stock (2.40 ERA), who’s been much better this year.
Kiwoom has been the hottest offense in the KBO in their last 10. They have scored 6.1 runs per game and they’re sending Eric Jokisch (2.45 ERA) to the mound. Adam Plutko (3.25 ERA) will be tough, but the Heroes could have the upper hand.
Lee Jae-hak has been terrible this year for the Dinos with a 7.23 ERA. So Hyeong-jun has a 2.85 ERA for the Wiz, so I’ll give the Wiz the edge in this one.
Both pitchers look solid for Kia vs. Samsung, but the Tigers’ offense has been amazing all year and the Lions have been struggling recently.
Top KBO Betting Picks to Target for 5/26/2022
These will be my 3 KBO betting picks for Thursday’s games.
I am hoping Hanwha’s 14 run outburst on Wednesday can carry into Thursday, as the over could be a nice bet. Both of the games in this series have had totals of 9 or more. If the recent trends continue, the over should have a high chance of hitting again.
The Eagles were able to score on Stock earlier this year, but Yun Dae-kyung might not give them the best chance to win. In 4 of his last 5 games, he’s given up at least 4 runs and lost all of them.
The Bears could try and jump on him to try and break out of their slump, while allowing a league-worst 6.4 runs per game in their last 10 themselves.
Just by looking at the matchup, I would have thought Kiwoom would have been the favorite for this game. Nonetheless, this could be a perfect opportunity for us to cash on plus odds. Erik Jokisch vs. Adam Plutko is even at worst for the Heroes.
Not only that, their offense has been on fire recently. If they keep it up, Jokisch can shut down the Twins and extend their losing streak to 4 games.
I also think the Wiz’s moneyline is a great price considering their chances of winning. The series has been super close and low-scoring so far, but Lee Jae-hak is on the mound for this game for NC.
He’s 0-4 with a 7.23 ERA, while So Hyeong-jun is 5-2 with a 2.85 ERA.
