Picks and Predictions for KBO Games – Friday, May 27th, 2022
Our KBO picks are back for another great Friday. Hopefully we can head into the weekend on a high note with a brand new series starting for each of the 10 teams.
Things are getting pretty interesting in the standings. These games are crucial even though we are early in the regular season. The SSG Landers already have a commanding 6 game lead on the second place Kiwoom Heroes.
They take on one of the hottest teams in the KBO right now in the Kia Tigers, so their next 3 games should be interesting. Let’s take a look at the KBO betting odds for Friday’s games to see which teams we should be betting on.
KBO Odds for Friday, May 27th, 2022
- Hanwha Eagles (+145) vs. KT Wiz (-175), O/U 8.5
- Doosan Bears (-173) vs. NC Dinos (+143) , O/U 9.5
- SSG Landers (-129) vs. Kia Tigers (-101) , O/U 9
- Samsung Lions (-142) vs. LG Twins (+112), O/U 7
- Kiwoom Heroes (+140) vs. Lotte Giants (-170) , O/U 8
Here are the KBO odds for Friday’s 5 games from BetOnline.
The Eagles probably couldn’t wait to get out of Hanwha after Thursday’s game. They were absolutely obliterated by the Doosan Bears 24-3. Doosan scored in 6 of the 9 total innings and 11 runs in the first.
The KT Wiz will try and do the same thing that Doosan just did, but they probably won’t be able to score 24. They are favored to win though, so there’s that.
Speaking of the Doosan Bears, they are headed into the weekend with a series opener against the NC Dinos. They might have woken their bats up in the most dramatic way possible last night, so this could get them going in the right direction.
The SSG vs. Kia series should be very interesting. SSG is 7-2-1 in their last 10 and are sitting pretty in first place. Kia on the other hand is 8-2 in their last 10 and possesses the best offense in the KBO.
The 4th place Twins will be taking on the 5th place Lions, so this is a crucial series for both teams.
Kiwoom is another one of the hottest teams in the KBO recently. They will be taking on the 7th place Lotte Giants this weekend.
KBO Predictions for Friday’s Games
- Hanwha Eagles Over KT Wiz
- Doosan Bears Over NC Dinos
- SSG Landers Over Kia Tigers
- Samsung Lions Over LG Twins
- Kiwoom Heroes Over Lotte Giants
We went 4 for 5 for Thursday’s KBO predictions, so hopefully we can continue correctly predicting the majority of the games for Friday.
You might be surprised to see Hanwha on the winning side for Friday, but they have a good chance of bouncing back. They will face Bae Je-seong (3.35 ERA), who they’ve already seen once this season. Hanwha was able to score 4 runs in 4 innings in that game and their offense has been better than the Wiz recently.
If Thursday was a sign of the Bears breaking out after a long slump, they are going to be winning some games here soon. They have a favorable matchup with the NC Dinos and the reliable Choi Won-joon (2.54 ERA) takes the mound as well.
Albert Suarez (2.03 ERA) takes the mound for the Lions on Friday. He wasn’t able to beat LG the first time he faced them, but he did pitch 7 innings with just 2 runs allowed. Lee Min-ho has a 5.05 ERA, so he hasn’t been as reliable as Suarez.
Kiwoom is red hot and are 8-2 in their last 10 games. They are also scoring 7 runs per game in that span, which is the best in the KBO. The pitching matchup is pretty even, but the Heroes’ offense looks too good right now to bet against.
Top KBO Betting Picks to Target for 5/27/2022
These are going to be my 3 best KBO betting picks for Friday’s games. Series openers are always a bit tricky, so make sure you are keeping that in mind as well. We swept Thursday’s slate, so let’s see if we can go 6 for our last 6.
Hopefully Doosan’s 24-run outburst in their last game can carry over into Friday. They’ve already faced Kim Si-hoon once this year and scored 3 runs (2 earned) in 5 innings against him. Choi Won-joon’s steady 2.54 ERA should give them a good chance to shut down NC’s offense as well.
Samsung and LG rank 9th and 7th in offense respectively in their last 10 games. Albert Suarez has been one of the best starting pitchers in the league this year with a 2.03 ERA. Lee Min-ho’s 5.05 ERA doesn’t look great, but he shut out Samsung in 5.2 innings earlier this year.
If these trends continue, the under should have a good chance of hitting.
Kiwoom is blazing hot, so it makes sense to keep riding the wave as well. Tyler Eppler will take the mound with his 3.20 ERA this year. The Heroes already faced Park Se-woong once this year, but weren’t able to rattle him too much.
With that being said, their offense is on fire right now and can change that this time around. Kiwoom has +24 run differential in their last 10 games, which is the best in the KBO.
