KBO Predictions and Analysis – Wednesday, October 28, 2020
The opening round of fixtures in the best South Korea baseball league this week saw several interesting results. The KBO is wild now that we have only a couple of days left before the end of the regular season and some teams look almost unpredictable.
That won’t stop me from sharing my KBO predictions for Wednesday because I believe that the unusual situation opens the door to some interesting opportunities. I’ve added my reasoning for every selection, but there are no odds or betting picks available because the leading baseball sites are yet to release their lines.
And here are all games on October 28 that I cover with my KBO predictions.
- Hanwha Eagles vs. LG Twins
- KT Wiz Suwon vs. KIA Tigers
- NC Dinos vs. Lotte Giants
LG Twins to Beat Hanwha Eagles
I respect the Hanwha Eagles for showing up towards the end of the season and winning plenty of games we didn’t expect them to win. It’s a sign that the team is not as bad as we thought, but the next clash is likely going to serve as a reality check.
The LG Twins have been excellent recently and they are expected to start a much better pitcher in the upcoming encounter. They have the offensive power to punish the Eagles too and that’s more than enough for me to back the favorite in my KBO predictions for Wednesday.
KT Wiz Suwon to Beat KIA Tigers
The opening clash between these two was full of twists and turns and KT Wiz surprisingly struggled against a team with no goals left. Despite the shaky performance, Suwon won by 7-6 at the end that should boost the side’s morale.
Another advantage that works for KT Wiz is the better starting pitcher and the lack of motivation in KIA’s camp. That makes it tough to trust the Tigers on Wednesday and I prefer to go for Suwon. And yet, the game should be close once again, so be careful with any bets you place.
NC Dinos to Beat Lotte Giants
Ever since securing the top spot in the KBO regular season, the NC Dinos have been inconsistent in their performance. The league leaders lost a number of games and even looked disinterested in some of them. They are obviously thinking about the postseason and that’s only natural.
I can’t say that the Giants have been focused either after losing any chances of qualifying for the postseason. That makes the upcoming game between the two sides hard to predict.
And yet, the Dinos are still the better team and they just suffered a painful defeat, so I expect a better performance on Wednesday. Another reason to back them is the stronger projected starting pitcher who should be able to contain the Giants for most of the clash.
