KBO Predictions and Best Bets (Round 125) – Saturday, September 26, 2020

The KBO has been especially exciting recently and I assume that the end of the regular season is the reason behind that. Most teams are desperately trying to qualify for the playoffs or earn a better seed, so they are giving everything.

I expect more of the same this Saturday when we have another round of the top South Korea baseball league. My KBO predictions cover all games and there’s a best bets section at the end. My top picks for September 26 will be added there once the odds of the leading sportsbooks are published.

The LG Twins were just beaten by the NC Dinos twice and they have to face another team that’s been flying recently. KT Wiz has just caught them in the rankings and has the chance to overtake them this weekend.

Suwon has been much better recently and is expected to start a better pitcher. On top of that, LG’s bullpen can’t be trusted nowadays. That’s why I prefer to back KT Wiz in my KBO predictions for Saturday.

Both sides have been inconsistent lately and they are still behind the KBO playoffs spots as a result. The Tigers are still close to the fifth place in the standings, but the Giants are in a desperate situation and need to win twice over the next series to keep the hopes alive.

The good news is that Lotte is sending a solid starter, while the Tigers should struggle on that end. The offense of both sides is streaky, but the Giants should have more opportunities to score runs on Saturday and I expect them to earn a vital victory over KIA in game one.

The best team in the league meets the worst and both sides have enjoyed some great moments recently. The Dinos are still in command of the KBO and just punished the LG Twins after a remarkable comeback on Thursday and a dominant win on Friday.

The Eagles have won several games in a row too which doesn’t happen often, but I think that their good run ends here. The Dinos are simply too strong right now and they will be using one of the top starting pitchers in the league for this match.

It might be closer than most people expect because of Hanwha’s excellent form, but the favorite should prevail at the end.

The Lions have been one of the strongest teams in South Korea lately, so they enter the clash against the Wyverns as the favorites not only because of their better league position. The offense has been formidable and we’ve often seen reliable pitching as well.

On top of that, David Buchanan is expected to get the nod for the Lions and he’s been one of the most consistent pitchers in the league. All arguments are in Samsung’s favor, so that’s my prediction for game one of the series.

I still wonder what happened with the Bears and there are serious concerns that the reigning champions will be eliminated before the start of the KBO playoffs. The team has been abysmal lately and the offense hasn’t been effective.

Even if the pitchers deliver, they need support and I’m not sure they are going to get it against an opponent like the Heroes. Kiwoom is still trying to catch the Dinos and will be eager to win against the struggling Bears which is the most logical outcome on Saturday.
