KBO Predictions and Best Bets (Round 123) – Thursday, September 24, 2020

I have to say that the top South Korea baseball league has delivered plenty of action and some dramatic results lately. All teams are trying hard to perform well at the end of the regular season and they don’t have much time left.

The league returns on Thursday with another round of five games and I cover them all in my KBO predictions for September 24. There’s also a best betting picks section at the end where I will add my recommended bets when the lines of the top betting sites are up.

Here are all games covered in my KBO predictions for Thursday.

The KIA Tigers just lost two games against the Heroes and really need to bounce back to stay in touch with the positions that lead to the KBO playoffs. I’m not sure they could do that on Thursday, though, because they have to face KT Wiz.

The team from Suwon has been excellent over the past week, winning five of the last six games played. Both sides are expected to send some of their best starting pitchers, but I believe that KT Wiz has the more consistent offense, so I’m backing Suwon to win the opener on Thursday.

The NC Dinos survived a scary series against the Samsung Lions and somehow got away with two victories. Both wins came by a margin of one run, so it doesn’t get any closer than that. The league leaders have found some momentum when it matters the most.

They will need it in the upcoming series against LG. The Twins are one of the better teams in the country and they should have a huge advantage on Wednesday based on the projected starting pitchers.

The Dinos are sending one of their weakest options, while LG’s guy has been reliable for most of the season. That’s enough for me to back the Twins in my KBO predictions for Thursday.

I would normally back the Giants here, but I think that the Eagles might come on top in game one of the series. They just beat the reigning champions from Doosan twice, despite starting some shaky pitchers on both occasions.

Their offense is looking good and the Giants haven’t been convincing. They won twice against the Wyverns, but I wasn’t too impressed and beating.

Lotte’s choice for a starting pitcher is a guy that has failed to deliver consistently so far in 2020. I believe that the Eagles can take full advantage of that and win game one of the series.

The opening game between the Heroes and the Wyverns looks like the easiest one to predict on Wednesday, at least on paper. Kiwoom just won twice against the Tigers and is feeling it, while the Wyverns have been struggling lately.

On top of that, the favorite is expected to start one of the best pitchers in the entire KBO. It should be a comfortable victory for the Heroes in game one of the series and I see no reason why I should trust their opponents.

The logic dictates that the Doosan Bears should overcome the Lions on Thursday. They are the better team overall and they are expected to send one of their best pitchers. And yet, Samsung’s choice for a starter is impressive too and the team has been excellent recently.

The Lions just pushed the Dinos to the limits, while the reigning champions lost to the worst team in the country twice! The Bears look clueless right now and I expect their bad streak to continue on Thursday. Furthermore, if they don’t get it together soon, they could be out of the KBO playoffs.
