KBO Predictions and Best Bets (Round 103) – Tuesday, September 1, 2020

It’s time for another week of South Korea baseball action and the best teams in the country have a day to relax on Monday, before starting the next series on Tuesday. I share my thoughts on all fixtures scheduled for September 1 in my KBO predictions.

They don’t include odds because the lines of the top baseball sites are yet to be released. However, there is a KBO best bets section at the end that will include selected picks with odds that will be added once the betting sites have their lines up.

I will be using some of our recommended baseball sportsbooks such as the ones you can see below.

The reigning KBO champions have fallen behind the top teams in the country, but the difference is still not that big. A good winning run could be enough for Doosan to close the gap to the top and the series against the Eagles represent a good chance to find two quick victories.

Despite some better results recently, Hanwha is still the worst team in the country. The Bears have a strong record against the Eagles and they are expected to send one of their best pitchers for the opening game on Tuesday.

I simply don’t see anything that favors Hanwha here, so I feel obliged to back the Bears.

The Twins are extremely frustrating and the fluctuations in their performance certainly are a cause for concern. And yet, LG is among the better teams in the country and just had a decent series against the Doosan Bears, winning one game and drawing the other.

The team has a strong chance to start this week with another victory against the Wyverns. The underdog’s offense has been a threat recently, but SK is starting a pitcher with a 7.07 ERA. It’s just impossible to back the team under such circumstances, so I’m going with the Twins on Tuesday.

This game might be the hardest one to predict on Tuesday. The recent form of both sides is comparable and the same applies to their starting pitchers. And yet, I have been more impressed by Suwon’s offense lately.

The team often scores plenty of runs, while the Giants have been slightly streaky. That’s enough for me to back KT Wiz for game one of the series, but I’m not too confident in this particular prediction.

The top two sides in the KBO meet again and the Heroes can overcome their opponent with two victories. However, the Dinos have been slightly better recently and they are starting the more reliable pitcher.

The Heroes still have various injury problems, so they will have to go with a reliever. That hasn’t been a problem in most of their games thanks to their prolific offense.

And yet, facing the Dinos is another story. I believe that NC is the best team in the country and I expect a victory in game one.

That’s another game that looks hard to predict, mostly because both times have been inconsistent in their performance. And yet, the KIA Tigers still have a realistic chance to progress to the KBO knockouts and are expected to start the better pitcher.

That’s why going for the Tigers makes the most sense here, especially considering how often Samsung just collapses. The Lions have the potential to be better than they are, but they have yet to find consistent results.
