Inter Miami welcomes the New York Red Bulls to Florida this Friday, September 17, with two sides enjoying contrasting forms of late.

Phil Neville’s men have lost just one of their previous 11 games and head into Friday’s clash on a three-match winning streak. Meanwhile, the Red Bulls have only managed to win one of their last 11 outings.

The Herons now find themselves eighth in the Eastern Conference – one point outside the playoff places and nine points clear of eleventh-place RBNY.

Considering the contrasting form of these two sides, the big price for the home win stands out here. Inter Miami (2.00) is enjoying a remarkable resurgence at the moment, while the Red Bulls (3.50) are struggling.

All the leading Major League Soccer betting sites view Neville’s side as the favorite to win this one. That isn’t exactly a surprise, though, especially when you look at the recent results of both teams.

The Herons secured their third consecutive 1-0 victory on Tuesday, overcoming Toronto FC at BMO Field. After dominating much of the match, Christain Makoun converted a 95th-minute penalty to hand his team all three points.

At the end of the day, Inter Miami keeps on finding ways to win games. Neville’s men have now won five of their past six outings and have also won seven of their previous ten.

Thanks to four straight shutouts, the Herons also boast one of the best defensive records in the East. Only a handful of teams have conceded fewer goals than the Florida club – and that is a testament to the players’ recent revival.

Granted, Neville’s men remain the joint-second lowest scorers in the conference. But if they continue to keep clean sheets on a regular basis, they will continue to win soccer matches.

Unfortunately for the Red Bulls, winning soccer matches isn’t what they do right now. Indeed, they have tasted victory just once of their last 11 games – recording four draws and six losses in the process.

Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to Columbus was their fourth defeat in six outings. Despite taking the lead against the Crew, RBNY conceded two late goals and ended up throwing everything away.

Just two sides in the East – Toronto, and Chicago – have lost more games than Gerhard Struber’s men this year. Worse still, Toronto and Cincinnati are the only teams to have picked up fewer wins.

Having suffered six defeats in their previous nine matches, the Red Bulls are in a real mess at the moment. Sadly, they aren’t likely to return to winning ways against high-flying Inter Miami on Friday.

The ten-game form table looks grim for RBNY. While Inter Miami has taken 23 points from a possible 30 (7-2-1), the Red Bulls have only managed to pick up one win – claiming a measly six points in that time (1-3-6).

Ultimately, this feels like an excellent opportunity to double your money. With the Inter Miami win at 2.00, backing the home side is a no-brainer.
