Incheon United vs. Busan IPark Betting Preview – K League 1, October 24, 2020

It is another hugely important game for both these teams on Saturday, as Incheon United and Busan IPark are two of just three sides that can still be relegated from K League 1.

Incheon United is bottom of the league, but a win here could see it climb the table for the first time since the fourth week of the season.

It is incredibly tight at the bottom of K League 1 and it would not be a surprise if this game ends up in a draw that keeps the battle at the foot of the table alive for another week.

The good news is that the worry that Stefan Mugosa would miss the final three games of the season after being called up by the Montenegro national team was unfounded – and he even scored another goal last week to take his personal season’s tally to 12.

The bad news is that the goal was not enough to beat an impressive Gangwon side – and that Mugosa has scored more than half of all Incheon United’s goals this year. The threat of relegation is still very real for the coastal club and this clash with Busan has now become a must-win for the home side.

Further bad news for Incheon is that Busan has started to regain some of the form it was showing earlier in the season. The Royals were always going to find life tough in the top flight but performances had suggested that they would be all right. Unfortunately the results did not back up that hope and Busan can still go down this season.

But there has been a draw and a win in the last two games against Suwon and FC Seoul – two of the better teams in the bottom six – and there might be a chance that Busan could stay up now. The team from the southeast has not lost to Incheon this season and will be confident of keeping that record going on Saturday.

A draw would actually be enough to ensure safety for Busan and it may well be a factor in how the visiting team sets out for this game. There will be more desperation in the home side’s tactics, making for an entertaining game. A point would be welcomed by Incheon but it would mean that the relegation fight would probably go down to the last day of the season.
