Despite sending one of their worst pitchers to start the opener, the Dinos dominated the Eagles and won game one rather comfortably. The situation will be even worse for Hanwha, at least on paper, as the KBO leaders are expected to start a better pitcher this time around.

It’s hardly a shocker to see the Dinos as the favorite in the second game as well. The team has been much better during the season and Tuesday’s opener brought an easy victory. Most of the best baseball betting sites expect another win for NC and I’m inclined to agree.

After winning three games in a row and scoring a ton of runs, the Eagles had high hopes for the opening clash against the Dinos. Unfortunately for them, the favorite reminded us why NC sits on top of the table while Hanwha is in the last position.

The Eagles went four runs behind in the first inning and never managed to recover. They had some bright moments on the offense, but that doesn’t count for much when you concede 11 runs.

The starting pitcher for game two should be better, though. The Eagles have listed Shi Hwan Jang who has ERA and WHIP of 4.28 and 1.53 respectively. Nothing too fancy but still one of the better options of the team.

The big question is if the offense could improve in game two and looking at NC’s choice of a pitcher, I don’t see it happening.

I had my doubts in NC’s decision to use one of its worst pitchers in the opener, but the team did well enough on the other end, so it didn’t really matter. It should be even easier to win game two because Mike Wright gets the nod.

His record shows seven wins and four defeats as a starter which is not great, but let’s not forget that he faces the worst offense in the league. There are some question marks over his form, though, because he had a paternity leave in order to be present during the birth of his first child.

Fatherhood could be both a distraction and an inspiration, so it’s interesting to see how Wright reacts. Even if he is not at his best, the Dinos have plenty of players that can punish the opponent’s shaky pitching.

I don’t see how the Eagles could change their fortunes on Wednesday. The team is miles behind the Dinos right now and the favorite starts the better pitcher. That’s why I like the odds of -145 for NC to cover the handicap and beat the opponent by at least two runs.
