Gulfstream Park Picks – Wednesday, February 10, 2021

| February 9, 2021 2:04 pm PDT

Gulfstream Park brings us a ten-race of maiden, allowance, and claiming runs for our Wednesday wagering. While I found myself agreeing with eh morning line more often than not, I did manage to uncover a couple of long-odds show ticket prospects that I think our wallets will find attractive.

Read on for my Gulfstream Park picks and betting tips for Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

Pick for Gulfstream Park Race 6

This is a maiden claiming race for four-year-olds and upward running a distance of 1-1/16 miles for on turf for a purse of $39,000.

I like the 8/5 morning line favorite here — Eagerly, ridden by Irad Ortiz, Jr. This four-year-old gelding finished in the money four of his seven career starts, which puts him at the top of the statistics in this field.

As far as value show wagers are concerned, I don’t see any long-odds entries in this race likely to finish in the money, so let’s save ours.

  •  Win: Eagerly 8/5

Picks for Gulfstream Park Race 8

This is an allowance optional claiming race for fillies and mares four years old and upward running a distance of five furlongs on turf for a purse of $48,000.

I’m backing the 5/2 morning line favorite in this race — Tracy Ann’s Legacy, with Paco Lopez in the irons. This five-year-old mare moneyed 18 of her 22 career starts, winning eight of them. With a record like that, she probably doesn’t need a top jockey like Lopez along for the ride, but the fact that he is there certainly doesn’t hurt her chances.

At 15/1, Compensate, with Luis Saez aboard, looks strong for a value show ticket. This four-year-old filly moneyed six of her 12 career starts, winning three.

  •  Win: Tracy Ann’s Legacy 5/2
  •  Show: Compensate 15/1

Picks for Gulfstream Park Race 9

This is an allowance optional claiming race for Florida-bred four-year-olds and upward running a distance of six furlongs for a purse of $44,000.

My money is on the second-favored (4/1) entry in this race — Soldollie, ridden by Miguel A. Vasquez. This six-year-old gelding moneyed 13 of his 19 career starts, winning seven of them.

And at 15/1, I have to like Ray’swarrior, with Rajiv Maragh aboard, for a value show wager. This nine-year-old gelding moneyed 24 of his 35 career starts, winning 11 of them. You might want to consider an across the board bet here, but I’m only recommending the show ticket.

  •  Win: Soldollie 4/1
  •  Show: Ray’swarrior 15/1
