The Green Bay Packers visit the Houston Texans on Sunday, October 25, as the 2020 NFL season continues with Week 7 matchups.

This should be a very interesting interleague clash at NRG Stadium in Houston with plenty on the table for both teams. The Packers enter the game as the second-best team in the NFC North, while the Texans third in the AFC South.

Both Houston and Green Bay will be fired up to win, so I bring you the best Packers vs. Texans betting pick and tips along with the latest odds update.

Packers vs. Texans Odds

Packers -3.0-110
Texans +3.0-110
Packers to Win-170
Texans to Win+150
Over 56.0-110
Under 56.0-110

The Packers are 4-1 after the first six weeks. They were already on a bye in Week 5, so the bookies favor them over the 1-5 Texans. The hosts are having a terrible season, but they certainly stand a chance against the Packers.

The bookies expect to see a close game, and I absolutely agree. Despite their awful record, the Texans are a solid team with some exceptional players on their roster. Also, they are still alive in the playoff race, but another loss would ruin their chances a lot.

Green Bay Packers Form

The Packers are coming off a heavy 38-10 defeat at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was their first loss of the season, and the Packers were beaten to the bone.

Aaron Rodgers completed only 16 of his 35 passing attempts for 160 yards and a couple of interceptions. He was sacked five times, as the Packers’ O-line was destroyed along the line of scrimmage.

It was a day to forgot for the Packers’ defense, too, as they surrendered 158 rushing yards. Also, the Bucs scored a TD in each of their four trips to the red zone.

The Packers had the highest-scoring offense in the league ahead of Week 6. Now, they are fourth with 32.4 points per contest. Green Bay allows 27.8 points per game (20th in the NFL) on 347.4 total yards (14th).

Houston Texans Form

The Texans battled bravely against the Tennessee Titans on the road this past Sunday, but they couldn’t avoid a 42-36 loss. Houston failed to cope with Derrick Henry, who ran for a whopping 212 yards and a couple of touchdowns, proving that their defense is a huge problem.

If they want to turn this season around, the Texans have to improve defensively, and I don’t see that happening. They simply lack talent. The Titans are one of the best teams in the league, but surrendering 601 total yards in a game is a total disaster.

The Texans are now yielding 30.3 points per game (26th) on 423.0 total yards (30th). Their run D is allowing 177.5 yards per game which are the most in football this season. Houston is scoring 24.3 points per contest (21st) on 368.0 total yards (17th).

Packers vs. Texans Pick

The Texans are in dire straits and desperately need a win over Green Bay. It’s always tough to play under pressure, and despite their solid offense, I don’t think the Texans’ defense will be capable of slowing down the Packers to help the team win.

Green Bay is not only Aaron Rodgers. The Packers’ rushing is very dangerous, and after a tough matchup with the Buccaneers, who have the best run D in football, Green Bay will look to roll over the hapless Texans.

I don’t feel comfortable with any market in this clash, but the only logical choice is Green Bay to win straight up.
