This is a maiden special weight race for fillies and mares three years old and upward running a distance of 1-1/8 miles on turf for a purse of $30,000.

I’m backing the fourth-favored (9/2) entry in this race—Connie’s Promise, with Kyle Frey in the irons. This three-year-old filly moneyed three of her six career starts—all in 2020—giving her a better record for this year than the top three M/L choices.

I don’t see any bargain show bets in this race, so let’s save our long money for later.

This is a maiden special weight race for California-bred or -sired two-year-old fillies running a distance of six furlongs on the all-weather track for a purse of $39,000.

I’m going to agree with the morning line here and go with the 8/5 favorite—Back Slider, with Kyle Frey aboard. This filly moneyed her only career start (coming in second), plus she has commendable times in her recent workouts.

Stop looking at that 50/1 longshot—that is never going to happen. Instead, take a flyer on the 12/1 Silver Lyric, ridden by Juan Espinoza. This filly moneyed two of her four career starts (both seconds). You might even consider an across the board here.

This is an allowance race for three-year-olds and upward running a distance of six furlongs on the all-weather track for a purse of $31,000.

I’m sticking with the 3/1 morning line favorite here—Papapifas, with David C. Lopez in the irons. This five-year-old gelding moneyed five of his seven career starts, winning three of them.

There are a couple of longer-odds entries in this match, but I don’t believe either of them will finish in the money.
