New York Giants vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – NFL, Monday, November 22, 2021

Monday Night Football is always a spot for teams to catch fire and regain their confidence. We see it often in spotlight games for struggling players that may not be living up to their standards.
The Giants would love to enter the conversation and catch fire to be on the postseason radar. They have been ravaged with injuries and are coming off their bye week. The age difference between both starting quarterbacks for Week 12’s Monday Night Football is among the highest you will ever see.
Daniel Jones is 20 years younger (24) than Tom Brady (44), and there is no time to catch fire like the present. Tampa Bay is the defending champions, and they have now lost two straight.
Something has to give for this nationally televised clash between the Giants and the Buccaneers. Here are your latest odds at SportsBetting.ag.
Giants vs. Buccaneers Odds
The Bucs have gone 1-5 against the spread as road favorites. All of those games have been under Tom Brady. The recent struggles are due to the general public falling for Tampa Bay after their magical postseason run.
Tampa Bay has lost two consecutive games as a road favorite, but they are 7-3 in their past ten. The New York Giants have been abysmal as home underdogs. The G-Men have gone 6-14 against the spread and are a lowly 5-15 straight up.
When these two meet, the Bucs have struggled with a 1-6-1 record against the spread. That dates back to 2006, but they are only 2-6 straight up as well.

Why the Giants Will Win
Daniel Jones has Saquon Barkley (ankle) close to full strength, and his absence has been a concern. Coming off their bye week, they have some momentum since they knocked off the Las Vegas Raiders.
Sterling Shepard (hamstring/quad) is a player that will hopefully return in time for this game to ease the pressure of Kadarius Toney and Kenny Golladay. We also do not have to go back too far to see success from Jones against Tampa Bay.
The officials stole the game away from the Giants if you asked their faithful on Monday Night Football last season. Jones will need to take care of the football and have a similar game by putting pressure on the opposing secondary.
- 256 yards passing
- 2 Pass TD
- 20 yards rushing
Jones did throw two picks last season, and that ended up deciding the game. The NFL has plenty of one-score games, meaning the Giants need to avoid giving away any free points or possession to the top quarterback we have ever seen.
If Barkley and Booker can provide a boost in the backfield, the Giants could pull off one of the bigger upsets of the season.
Why the Buccaneers Will Win
Daniel Jones has ways to go with this offense, but he has not been getting much help. TB12 is 18-8 on Monday Night Football and has the potential to join a great list of a select few.
- Most Wins on Monday Night Football
- Dan Marino, 20
- Brett Favre, 19
- Tom Brady, 18
Brady is on a list with Favre and Marino, but he could be around for another year or two to be atop the list. We have seen plenty of success over the years, but the current Tampa Bay signal-caller is capable of turning it on once the holidays roll along.
MNF would be a bounceback game to get most of their players back, and Brady would reap the benefits. Antonio Brown (ankle) and Rob Gronkowski (back) may rest until their bye occurs in Week 13.
The Giants have been a wreck on the defensive end. Tampa will take advantage at home and get back into NFC contention with Green Bay and Dallas. The narrow season-opening escape over the Cowboys could play a role down the road, but Tampa needs to knock off the lower-tier teams in the NFL.
MNF s a spotlight game for Brady and his weapons to flourish, even if all of them are not back. It may not be pretty, but they should be able to protect their home turf against the Giants. If you want to get more free picks, check our Week 11 article on the top parlay of the week.
Giants vs. Buccaneers Prediction
Tampa Bay may need a late-season push like last season, but they should win their division, unlike last season. Winning multiple games on the road to reach the Super Bowl should never be the plan for postseason success.
However, Brady has shown he can do it even on the last few holes of his career. I doubt he wants to avoid winning the NFC South. I am banking on a return for Antonio Brown like he has allied to on social media, but they will find a way to win this late by about a touchdown.
Giants vs. Buccaneers Pick
-
Giants (+11.5)-120
Take the points with the road team here. Yes, the Giants have been struggling over this season, but they have enough momentum to make this a competitive game. Brady will find a way to take care of the ball in the fourth to get the victory, but the Giants have been getting healthier by the month.
Barkley may have a few runs that bring back some old memories. Taking the double-digit points is the play for Monday Night Football. Expect a victory for Tampa, but a cover for New York.
