German Bundesliga Predictions and Best Bets (Round 24) – February 25-27, 2022

We have some tasty Bundesliga matchups to look forward to this weekend. Believe it or not, Eintracht Frankfurt has the chance to secure three straight wins over Bayern Munich on Saturday.

Eintracht’s clash against Bayern is one of four featured games in this Round 24 Bundesliga betting preview. In addition to my featured games, I cover the full Bundesliga schedule listed below.

Bayer Leverkusen headed into Round 23 on a four-game winning run, having dispatched Gladbach, Augsburg, Dortmund, and Stuttgart.

Gerardo Seoane’s men were on course to extend their hot streak to five games last weekend, but Mainz had other ideas. Leverkusen was leading 2-1 with less than ten minutes remaining before two late goals saw Mainz snatch the victory.

It is also worth noting that Frank Kramer’s boys are the second-lowest scorers in the German top flight. By contrast, only two sides have scored more goals than Bayer this season.

In recent years, Eintracht Frankfurt has managed to upset Bayern Munich on a number of occasions. Not many teams get the better of Bayern, but Eintracht knows what it takes.

Of course, the defending champions are well on their way to securing their tenth straight Bundesliga title. They have won 18 of their 23 league games this season, while Frankfurt has managed to claim just eight wins.

However, it is worth noting that Bayern suffered a shock 4-2 thrashing at the hands of Bochum earlier this month. The Bavarians are not at their best right now, so I can see Eintracht getting something from this game.

RB Leipzig crushed Hertha 6-1 last weekend, with Christopher Nkunku bagging a brace. The Frenchman has racked up 22 goals and 13 assists in 33 games across all competitions this season. Pretty impressive, huh?

In fairness to Bochum, they have also picked up a number of positive results of late. Thanks to that remarkable win over Bayern, Thomas Reis’ side is currently enjoying a four-game unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga.

That said, Leipzig should be too strong for Bochum. The Red Bulls have notched numerous high-scoring victories recently, while only three teams have netted fewer goals than Bochum this season.

When Dortmund suffered a humiliating 4-2 loss to Scottish side Rangers in the Europa League last week, things looked bleak for Marco Rose’s men. It was imperative that they bounced back last weekend. As it turned out, they bounced back in style.

BVB hammered Gladbach 6-0 in Round 23, with Marco Reus notching two goals and three assists. The Dortmund captain is enjoying a stellar campaign, having chalked up 13 goals and 13 assists in all competitions.

At the opposite end of the table, Augsburg sits third from bottom after suffering three defeats in four games. Given the contrasting form of these two sides, Dortmund should dispatch Augsburg without any real problems.

Here are the remainder of my Bundesliga predictions for Round 24.

I expect both fifth-place Hoffenheim and sixth-place Freiburg to claim a straightforward home win this weekend. Hoffenheim faces second-bottom Stuttgart, while Freiburg comes up against fourth-bottom Hertha.

Elsewhere, I’m backing Koln and Mainz to secure road victories on Saturday. They come up against Furth and Union, respectively, meaning they both have favorable fixtures in Round 24.

I can see Gladbach and Wolfsburg playing out a draw in the battle of the fallen giants. Both sides find themselves in the table half of the standings following a disappointing first half of the season.

That’s it for my Bundesliga predictions – but I’m not finished just yet. Having scoured the top soccer betting sites, I have found three excellent Bundesliga bets for Round 24.

Leverkusen is priced at 1.33 to beat Arminia Bielefeld. Needless to say, that is not an attractive price. Given that Bayer has both scored and conceded in 18 of their 23 league games this season, backing both teams to score feels like a smart move.

Union heads into Round 24 on a three-game losing streak. In-form Mainz, on the other hand, has picked up three wins across the previous five rounds. With that in mind, Mainz’s price of 2.70 is too tasty to ignore here.

Dortmund has played 23 Bundesliga matches this season, 20 of which have produced at least three goals. For that reason, I recommend jumping on the over 2.5 goals market for BVB’s clash against Augsburg.
