Betting Picks with Predictions for the Federated Auto Parts 400 in 2021

If you’re pondering on the latest NASCAR betting odds for the Federated Auto Parts 400 Salute to First Responders, I can help.
I’ll also be making Cup Series Playoffs predictions for Richmond that will, hopefully, win you some money this weekend.
We’re into race 2 of the Round of 16, with everything on the line. Denny Hamlin finally got his first win of the season and punched his ticket into the next round. Who will join him this Saturday, September 11?
I’ll be making predictions and betting picks for the Federated Auto Parts 400 in 2021 a little later. Let’s first take a look over the latest odds for NASCAR’s next race.
2021 Federated Auto Parts Odds Analysis
You can find a full list of NASCAR betting odds for this weekend on the Bovada sportsbook.
As you can see, the odds for the Federated Auto Parts 400 make Martin Truex Jr. the man to beat under the lights at Richmond this Saturday, Truex’s odds to win are +400, owing to his five top-5s from his last five starts on this track. He has a pair of wins here in 2019, and also finished runner-up in 2020.
Beyond Truex in the latest Cup Series odds for Richmond is Hamlin (+500), who finally got his hands on his first win of the season at Darlington last weekend.
Hamlin has three wins at Richmond, with the last coming in 2016. He finished 2nd at the Toyota Owners 400 in April and should be right up there.
Kyle Busch (+650), Joey Logano (+700), Kyle Larson (+900), and Brad Keselowski (+1000) round up the rest of the possible picks for the 2021 Federated Auto Parts 400 under the +1000 mark.
Top Picks for the Federated Auto Parts 400 in 2021
It’s all to play for at Richmond.
Some drivers are looking good heading to “Strawberry Hill,” while others will be feeling the heat.
2021 NASCAR Cup Series Standings | ||
---|---|---|
Position | Driver | Points |
1 | Denny Hamlin | 2072 |
2 | Kyle Larson | 2106 |
3 | Martin Truex Jr. | 2062 |
4 | Kurt Busch | 2052 |
5 | Ryan Blaney | 2048 |
6 | Joey Logano | 2047 |
7 | Kevin Harvick | 2046 |
8 | Brad Keselowski | 2038 |
9 | Christopher Bell | 2031 |
10 | Chase Elliott | 2030 |
11 | Aric Almirola | 2029 |
12 | Tyler Reddick | 2026 |
13 | Alex Bowman | 2026 |
14 | Kyle Busch | 2024 |
15 | William Byron | 2017 |
16 | Michael McDowell | 2006 |
Kyle Busch, for example, needs a big race. Having been fined $50,000 for his latest outburst, the 2019 Cup Series champion is showing signs of struggling with the pressure. But does he have a point about the kit?
Regardless, Busch sits two places under the cut-off line and could be done if he fails to put in a big shift at Richmond.
I wouldn’t write Busch off, but it might be a good idea to fade him to win at such short odds (+650). With that said, he has a tremendous record at Richmond with 6 wins and 18 top-5s in his career thus far.
Busch is one of my top picks for the Federated Auto Parts 400, but as a top-3 finisher (+200).
Although he hasn’t done anything of note in 2021, Kevin Harvick is another driver to consider for Richmond.
Harvick has an average finish of 10.10 from 40 races here, including three wins. Odds of -110 to finish in the top-10 is among the best bets for the 2021 Federated Auto Parts 400 Salute to First Responders.
I’m also keen on Joey Logano to win at +700.
Looking over his record at Richmond, “Sliced Bread” has three top-3s from his last four races, including a runner-up spot at the Toyota Owners 400 in 2019. He has two wins here and has finished outside the top-10 just twice in 14 races.
Best Bets for the 2021 Federated Auto Parts 400
There are three solid picks for the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs race at Richmond this Saturday.
You can find some great tips for betting on the Cup Series Playoffs from Nick Sterling, so make sure to take them on board. Whether this is your first or 10th time wagering on the post-season, you will find Nick’s NASCAR tips helpful.
Why Logano Wins the 2021 NASCAR Federated Auto Parts 400
I’m putting my faith in Logano to punch his ticket to the Round of 12 this weekend.
While he has just the one win this season (at Bristol), the 2018 Cup Series champion is looking in good shape heading to one of his favorite tracks.
At +700, he’s just about good enough to take for the win. But if you are betting on the Federated Auto Parts 400 Salute to First Responders, you also have the option to back Logano to finish in the top-3 at +280.
The track is well suited to the 31-year-old’s driving style, and I see it being a good day for Ford overall.
