Evil Geniuses vs. Alliance Betting Preview – Friday, September 4, 2020

| September 4, 2020 12:26 am PDT

What we learned so far from the Omega League: Europe Immortal Division is that Team Secret will be very hard to stop. The big favorite mercilessly destroyed Evil Geniuses yesterday and send the squad to the Lower Bracket to face Alliance.

It’s going to be one hell of a match that features two teams that have a really high ceiling but haven’t been as consistent as the top sides in the competition.

I share my analysis on the upcoming clash in this Evil Geniuses vs. Alliance betting preview that also features the latest odds, my prediction, and a free betting pick.

Evil Geniuses vs. Alliance Odds

  • Evil Geniuses to win; -161
  • Alliance to win; +126
  • Evil Geniuses (-1.5); +180
  • Alliance (+1.5); -238
  • Over 2.5; +109
  • Under 2.5; -137

The Evil Geniuses vs. Alliance odds you see above are available at BetOnline, one of my favorite betting sites for esports. The online bookmaker often offers the best prices for certain markets for the Omega League Immortal Division.

Evil Geniuses Current Form

Yesterday’s match against Team Secret was borderline depressing for Evil Geniuses. I watched both games and beating the opponent looked almost impossible. I’m not sure how you continue after such a one-sided defeat.

The squad looked good for the rest of the tournament, though, and already registered one victory over Alliance in the group stage, as well as a win against Nigma. When things go well for Evil Geniuses, the team is excellent.

The main issue is the lack of consistency that sometimes hurts the performance. They guys will have to find a way to stay close to their ceiling or they will go down very soon.

Alliance Current Form

I loved every match of Alliance so far in the Immortal Division and this is probably the most entertaining team in the whole tournament. We’ve seen everything, from quick victories to the longest game in the competition against Vikin.gg in the previous round.

I have the feeling that Alliance is getting better and better as the tournament progresses. The team barely made it to the knockouts and had to go through e play-in, but the first match in the eliminations was excellent.

Let’s not forget that this is one of the very few teams that have won a series against Secret in the past couple of months. I believe that Alliance can beat anyone on their day and this makes them a lethal opponent.

Prediction and Pick

The first clash between Evil Geniuses and Alliance was fairly one-sided, but I believe this one will be different. I don’t think any of the teams can close the match in two games, so the price of +109 for over 2.5 looks like the best betting pick available.

  • Over 2.5; +109
