Everton vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers – English Premier League, May 19, 2021
This is probably the last chance for Everton to break into the European places after a season that promised so much more earlier on. The Toffees face Manchester City on the last day of the season, so this is the game to pick up some points.
Wolves’ season is falling away even more quickly than Everton’s, though. So the home team’s European dreams may well live on for another few days at least.
Everton vs. Wolves Odds
Wolves have nothing to play for this season. Its recent displays reflect that position, so there’s little value in backing an away win here.
The big question is whether Everton will take advantage of that on Wednesday – and if it’s worthwhile to take these unattractive odds offered by BetOnline.

When Everton played Sheffield United at the weekend, it was Carlo Ancelotti’s side that supposedly still had something to play for, as it fought to qualify for a European place. But the Blades took an early lead and never looked in trouble as Everton toiled without ever looking dangerous.
The Toffees now sit three points behind West Ham in the last European spot and have a worse goal difference. With the champions next up at the weekend, it is looking like the club will end up empty-handed once again.
After some positive results against two relegation-threatened clubs, Wolves reverted to form against Spurs on Sunday. They lost to a team in control throughout and probably could have won by more than the two goals it managed. It was a tired end-of-season performance from Wolves – and one that showed worryingly low levels of enthusiasm in the squad.
It has turned out to be a rather insignificant season for Wolves. They never really looked like getting drawn into a relegation battle and failed to challenge the top of the league after the injury to Raul Jimenez in November. He might be able to make a comeback for the final game of the season but he won’t figure here – and Everton should be able get the three points it desperately needs.
Everton vs. Wolves Betting Pick
Everton to Win-110
Due to Everton’s inferior goal difference, compared to Spurs and West Ham, it might not matter how the Merseyside club gets on here. But a win would keep the hope of European soccer alive at least.
Wolves will probably not put up too much of a fight – especially if Everton manages to find the net early on.
