EuroLeague Predictions and Betting Tips for Round 9 Games on Thursday, November 11

If you’re looking for EuroLeague betting tips, you’re at the right place. In this post, I will analyze the Round 9 games taking place on Thursday, November 11.

Not only will I dissect the team’s forms, stats, and odds, but I will also present you with my top bets for the day. If all this sounds good, let’s start with my top pick, which is Barça.

Barcelona to Beat Baskonia

Barça is coming off back-to-back losses in the EuroLeague, which made its record 6-2 on the season. Considering how impressive this team was before the two losses, it’s only natural to assume they’re going to get back to the winning track very soon.

By “very soon” I mean on Thursday. The thing is that Barcelona has much, much better players than Baskonia, their rivals from the Spanish ACB League.

Speaking of which, the most recent duels between these foes happened in May in the Spanish league. Unsurprisingly, Barcelona won 87-74. Actually, Barça has a fantastic record against Baskonia with seven wins in their previous ten meetings.

Barça’s dominance became even more prominent since the arrival of Nikola Mirotic. The Montenegrin forward scored double-figures each time he played against Baskonia as a Barcelona player.

I’m very confident we’ll see Barcelona adding another win to the list and it’s not just because this team has some fantastic players on the roster. It’s also because Baskonia has been playing terrible basketball lately. This team’s lost six of the past eight games in all competitions, including three EuroLeague games.

CSKA Moscow to Beat Maccabi Tel Aviv

Horrible – this is the word that best describes the recent form of CSKA Moscow. The Russian champion lost five straight games in all competitions. The last time something similar happened was exactly 20 years ago.

Three of those defeats happened in the EuroLeague. As a result, CSKA is now in the middle of the EuroLeague table with a 4-4 record.

Despite a poor run, CSKA remains the highest-scoring team in the competition. Obviously, the offense isn’t their problem. However, the defense has been their Achilles’ heel this season. With 663 points conceded in eight games, they have the worst defense in the EuroLeague.

It’s almost the opposite when Maccabi Tel Aviv is concerned. This team is 6-2 on the season, with five straight EuroLeague wins. The form is obviously on their side, but the same doesn’t go for the player quality.

Tornike Shengelia, Will Clyburn, Aleksey Shved, and others – CSKA’s stars seem to have enough talent to beat literally any other team in Europe.

They just need to start showing it and I believe it will happen in Round 9.

Panathinaikos to Beat UNICS

Panathinaikos is 2-6 in the EuroLeague but both of their wins happened on their turf. This shouldn’t surprise anyone who’s been following this competition for the past couple of years. This team is famous as one of the best home teams on the continent.

Last season, they went 8-9 at home, but that’s when the stands were empty due to COVID-19. However, in the seasons before the pandemic, this team was superb.

At the EuroLeague’s largest arena – O.A.C.A. Olympic Indoor Hall – Panathinaikos went 11-4 in the last pre-pandemic season.

Not only is Panathinaikos great at home, but their next opponent is horrible on the road. In the 2021 season of the EuroLeague, UNICS is 0-3 in away matches.

A possible explanation for this is that UNICS is based in Kazan, a city situated close to the geographical border between Europe and Asia. As a result, their players have to fly for many hours each time they have an away game in the EuroLeague.

For Thursday’s game against Panathinaikos, they had to fly over more than 2,000 miles to get to Athens.

Betting Tips for the Other Two EuroLeague Games

  • Lyon to Beat Crvena Zvezda
  • Anadolu Efes to Beat Alba Berlin

Crvena Zvezda has been playing really well lately, especially at home. For instance, we saw them demolishing Panathinaikos 81-41 last week.

However, we also saw them losing against an underdog such as Alba Berlin a couple of weeks before. Knowing that Lyon has a better roster than the Serbian team, I can see the visitors winning on Thursday. Even if they don’t win, I’m sure they’re not going to lose by a high margin.

When it comes to Anadolu Efes, it’s high time for the EuroLeague champion to start playing better. This team is 2-6 on the season, which is just embarrassing. Winning against Alba Berlin is a must and the oddsmakers know it, hence the odds on Efes aren’t that attractive.

Best EuroLeague Bets for Round 9 Games on Thursday

CSKA Moscow to Beat Maccabi Tel Aviv1.4444
Panathinaikos to Beat UNICS1.75
Barcelona (-10.5) Against Baskonia1.909

I found the odds at 888sport, a sportsbook where it’s possible to parlay these bets, in which case, the cumulative odds would be 4.82.

If that’s not good enough for you, maybe add Lyon (+2.5) to the mix, a bet with the odds of 1.75. You can also add Efes, although the odds are just 1.364.
