EuroLeague Betting Tips for Round 13 Games on Thursday, December 2

The EuroLeague is back on Thursday, December with Round 13. There are five games on the program, some of which look perfect from a bettor’s perspective.
The ones that caught my eye are the following:
- Fenerbahce vs. Monaco
- Bayern Munich vs. ASVEL Lyon
- Real Madrid vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv
I will now analyze those three matchups, discussing team news and dissecting the betting odds along the way. I will also share my predictions for those games, as well as show you which EuroLeague bets I’ll make this Thursday.
If all this sounds good, let’s start!
Fenerbahce to Beat Monaco
Fenerbahce is 3-9 in the EuroLeague with all losses in the previous four games. Still, at home, they’ve been pretty solid so far. In fact, two of their three EuroLeague wins in the 2021-22 season happened at Istanbul’s Ülker Sports Arena.
Further, two of their three home defeats were decided by five points or less. This includes the game Fener played a week ago against their local rival Anadolu Efes.
The reigning EuroLeague champ did win that game, but Fener played great basketball for most of the game. I say “most” because the Yellow Canaries had an 11-point lead heading into the final quarter. Unfortunately for them, Efes’ players then switched to top gear, scoring 33 points in ten minutes, which was enough to grab a win.
Is there a danger a similar scenario could play out against Monaco? I think not. I think Fener’s players have learned their lesson.
On top of that, Monaco is nowhere near Efes in terms of player quality, meaning that the hosts should have a fairly easy job on Thursday.
Bayern Munich to Beat ASVEL Lyon
Bayern Munich has been superb at home this season. They’re coming off three straight wins – two in the EuroLeague and one in the German BBL.
Home turf seems to play a huge role in duels between Bayern Munich and ASVEL Lyon. The two have met four times in the EuroLeague so far and each time, the home team won.
The most recent of those was a Lyon win earlier this year. The score was 87-79 for the French, with American shooting guard David Lighty scoring the most points. The reason why this is important is that Lightly will not be on the court on Thursday due to an injury suffered in early November.
Apart from him, ASVEL will miss a few other important players, including:
- Antoine Diot (the man who played 30 EuroLeague games for Lyon last season)
- Marcos Knight (former Monaco rebound master who joined Lyon earlier this year)
- Raymar Morgan (veteran American forward who signed for the French champions in July)
As all this wasn’t enough, the undermanned Lyon has another problem. This team played a very tough game in Monaco last Friday, meaning that even their healthy players might feel jaded.
Real Madrid to Beat Maccabi Tel Aviv
Real Madrid has a chance to win its tenth straight game. For that to happen, Los Blancos need to do better than Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday. Can they do it?
Of course, they can! After all, they did it in eight of the previous ten Real Madrid vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv duels.
Real Madrid is coming into the EuroLeague Round 13 after a blowout win over Baskonia. The boys from Madrid beat their rivals 88-60.
Meanwhile, Maccabi Tel Aviv’s most recent game was against Alba Berlin, in which they lost 91-86. That was their second straight EuroLeague defeat in which they conceded more than 90 points.
Picks for the Other TwoEuroLeague Games on Thursday
- CSKA Moscow to Beat Panathinaikos
- Baskonia to Beat Zalgiris
The odds on CSKA Moscow are as short as 1.10 and there’s a simple reason why that’s the case. The Russian team has a much, much better roster than its Greek rival. Plus, Panathinaikos is horrible when playing on the road, with a 0-7 record in the EuroLeague this season.
Another team that can’t be proud of its away record in the EuroLeague is Baskonia. The Spanish team is 1-4 ahead of their clash with Zalgiris in Lithuania. Still, the fact is that Baskonia has better players than Zalgiris, which should be the decisive factor in this game.
Best Bets for Thursday’s EuroLeague Games
These three seem like pretty sure bets. However, the odds aren’t that great even at a sportsbook like 10Bet.com, which is famous for its generous EuroLeague odds. The good news is that there’s a solution – betting that the favorites will cover the spread.
I think Fenerbahce can beat Monaco by 7+ points, for which the odds are 1.94. You’ll get even better odds on Bayern Munich (-7), for which sportsbooks are giving as much as 1.97. Finally, Real Madrid beating Maccabi by 9 or more points is 2.00.
