EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – November 18, 2020

| November 17, 2020 1:40 pm PDT

Bettors have to adjust to a change of schedule for EuroLeague this week. We’re used to seeing games later in the week on Thursday and Friday, but things shifted to Tuesday and Wednesday.

I handed out my EuroLeague predictions and top betting picks for yesterday’s big five-game slate. We still have three more games on the docket today. See who’s playing.

  • Maccabi Tel Aviv vs. Real Madrid
  • Asvel Lyon vs. Alba Berlin
  • Milano vs. Crvena Zvezda

Yesterday’s EuroLeague picks got off to a smashing start with Khimki Moscow (+120) getting a nice upset win. I also got two more winning bets, with Bayern Munich beating a 6-point spread (-117), and CSKA Moscow covering a six-point spread of their own (-111).

Hopefully, I can ride the hot wave into some more wins. With that, join me for my EuroLeague predictions and top betting picks for Wednesday, November 18th.

Maccabi Tel Aviv vs. Real Madrid Predictions

  • Real Madrid to beat Maccabi Tel Aviv
  • Predicted total: 160-165

Scottie Wilbekin powers Maccabi Tel Aviv on Wednesday. His 16.6 points per game fuel the offense, while he’ll continue to get solid help from the likes of Tyler Dorsey and Ante Zizic.

That offensive firepower is scary, but Real Madrid is working their way back above .500 after a slow start.

Trey Thompkins and Walter Tavares give them the balance they need down low, while Frank Campazzo spearheads Real Madrid’s plight to win four in a row.

Asvel Lyon vs. Alba Berlin Predictions

  • Asvel Lyon to beat Alba Berlin
  • Predicted total: 160-165

Normally I would be a bit hesitant to favor Asvel Lyon here. They’re the underdog and they’ll be without star point guard Norris Cole, after all.

That’s certainly worth noting, but Alba Berlin can’t get out of their own way. Their defense hasn’t been good enough on the year, and they currently have the worst record in EuroLeague play.

I think Antoine Diot and Moustapha Fall can do enough to keep it together here, and the value is what’s really appealing in betting on this underdog.

Milano vs. Crvena Zvezda Predictions

  • Crvena Zvezda to beat Milano
  • Predicted total: 150-155

We get a battle of two teams trying to fight their way back to .500 when Crvena Zvezda and Milano square off.

Jordan Lloyd (21.6 points per game) continues to be Crvena Zvezda’s lifeblood, and he’ll work with Johnny O’Bryant to try to get the win here.

I certainly favor this star duo, although it’s worth noting that Vladimir Micov is back for Milano. They are also paced by solid guard play in Sergio Rodriguez and Malcolm Delaney.

This is a close one, but I like Crvena Zvezda, and I think we get a fair amount of points in a back and forth battle.

Best EuroLeague Bets for Wednesday, November 18th

  • Real Madrid (-6) -116
  • Asvel Lyon (+4.5) -107
  • Asvel Lyon to Win (+171)

Most of my interest in this EuroLeague betting slate lies with Real Madrid covering a palatable six-point spread, and Asvel Lyon stepping up in the underdog role.

Real Madrid has the star power and momentum to skate by Maccabi Tel Aviv in this spot, while I think Asvel Lyon is simply being overlooked here.

Asvel Lyon is more than a one-man wrecking crew, so look for them to put up points without Cole. I think the safer bet is obviously Asvel Lyon against the spread, but I like their chances to get the win, and it’s tough to bear this +171 price.
