EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – March 5, 2021

The NBA enters its All-Star break, so welcome to anyone making the temporary transition to betting on EuroLeague ball.
Whether this is your first stop at my EuroLeague predictions and top betting picks, or you’ve been here for a while, your process should start with first looking at the schedule and assessing the day’s odds.
First, let’s see who is playing on Friday, March 5th, 2021.
- Khimki vs. Alba Berlin
- Zalgiris vs. Olimpia Milano
- Olympiacos vs. Crvena Zvezda
- Asvel Lyon vs. Fenerbahce Ulker
- FC Barcelona vs. Saski Baskonia
Khimki Moscow is back to work on Friday after finally getting a win. It’d been a brutal run for them, and it’s very likely they go right back to losing today.
You’ll still want to gauge that, of course, while you have five games in all to bet on. BetOnline tends to be the best at pushing out EuroLeague odds, so I’ll be using them for a reference point.
If you’re ready to place some bets, let’s dive into the slate and break down my favorite plays.
Khimki vs. Alba Berlin Predictions
- Alba Berlin to beat Khimki
- Predicted total: 165-170
Khimki Moscow shocked with a win in their last game, which was their first since round nine. It was a tight one (78-77) over Real Madrid, so it may be tough to turn right back around and trust them to win again.
I just won’t do it if I’m betting on this game. Alba Berlin has also struggled mightily this year, but they’re the understandable -154 betting favorites.
Both teams are down a couple of key players, but it’s just tough to trust Khimki. Sadly, if you didn’t bet on them on Tuesday, I think you missed the boat.
Zalgiris vs. Olimpia Milano Predictions
- Olimpia Milano to beat Zalgiris
- Predicted total: 150-155
This could be a tough one to pick, as the spread is tight (-2.5), and both of these teams have at least 15 wins.
Zalgiris is a bit healthier these days, and they’ll be at home, but they haven’t been in amazing form (2-3 over their last five).
Milan will be down two key bodies in Zach Leday and Malcolm Delaney, with Leday missing out on some revenge against his former squad.

That’s a bummer, but the good news is this is an incredibly deep team.
Veteran guard Sergio Rodriguez will just step back into a bigger role, while Shavon Shields will work to account for the absence of Leday.
It’s a close call, but Milan is the better team (17-10) with a shot at the top spot still. They also lost a wild shootout (98-92) in this matchup earlier this season.
There could be a good amount of points again, but I don’t expect a change in the outcome.
Milan stands out as a solid value at -2.5 (-106) and -132 on this slate.
Olympiacos vs. Crvena Zvezda Predictions
- Crvena to beat Olympiacos
- Predicted total: 150-155
This should be one of the tougher games to call, as neither of these teams are getting it done right now.
Crvena is really hurting down-low these days, and they recently parted with star big man Johnny O’Bryant. They also are just 7-20 on the season and have lost eight in a row.
Olympiacos only won the first meeting by two points (81-79), and they have also dropped eight in a row. This one is a big bowl of yuck, but something has to break.
Asvel Lyon vs. Fenerbahce Ulker Predictions
- Fenerbahce to beat Asvel
- Predicted total: 155-160
I have been very pro-Asvel lately, as they’ve been on fire. They did lose their last game to Zalgiris, but they’d won each of their previous seven contests in EuroLeague play.
That shouldn’t be taken lightly, while Norris Cole has been balling out during that run.
Unfortunately, Fenerbahce is the better team. They showed that in a convincing 81-59 beatdown earlier this year, and they’re coming in at full strength.
They’re also even hotter in the standings. Fenerbahce has gone 11-1 over their last 12 games, with their lone loss coming against the surging Anadolu Efes.
I don’t doubt this one could be close, but I love Fenerbahce at -213.
FC Barcelona vs. Saski Baskonia Predictions
- Barcelona to beat Saski
- Predicted total: 160-165
FC Barcelona needs to be careful these days. They just lost a game they probably should have won against Asvel, and they have CSKA Moscow breathing down their neck.
This is still the best team in the EuroLeague, though, so there’s little reason to bet against them here.
Saski is an appealing +279 underdog, but they’re on the road, and Barcelona is 8-2 over their last 10. The only hiccup here may be the fact that Saski did give them a run for their money (72-71) earlier this season.
Saski Baskonia is also on fire at the moment, having won each of their last five games. Luca Vildoza and Rokas Giedraitis give them a nice, balanced attack that probably shouldn’t be taken too lightly.
I don’t mind them ATS at +7.5, but a straight-up bet doesn’t feel right in this spot.
Best EuroLeague Bets for Friday, March 5th
- Alba Berlin to Win (-154)
- Olimpia Milano (-2.5) -106
- Crvena to Win (+231)
- Fenerbahce to Win (-213)
You can go with my EuroLeague predictions for any straight-up bets, but I honestly like the moneylines more than anything, anyways.
The Barcelona moneyline is too thick to get excited about at -334, so I’d target Saski at +7.5 or just avoid that game.
Khimki did well to finally win again in their last game, but now you’re supposed to bet on them to start a winning streak? I don’t think so. Give me Alba at -154.
Olimpia Milano is also in a pretty good spot. You can hit them as a straight-up bet at -132, but their spread is a bit tighter, and the value is better at -2.5 (-106).
Fenerbahce is the superior team in their matchup. The -213 price isn’t one I normally like to reach for, but they feel like a great pick to win, and the pricing could be worse.
Crvena is the only underdog play I’m tempted by on this slate. They’re in a spot where both teams have been brutal, and in an arguable toss-up like this, I’ll favor the dog.
Hopefully, my EuroLeague picks serve you well to close out the week. If you’re ready to bet now, just make sure you’re using the safest sports betting sites out there.
