EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – March 12, 2021

The race for first place in the 2021 EuroLeague standings is only getting crazier. CSKA took a step back and FC Barcelona still sticks as the top team, but Milan is now right in the thick of things.

Other teams still vying for the top spot include Bayern Munich, and Anadolu Efes, and both are in action to close out the week.

It’s a pretty fun slate at first glance, with just one team (Saski) having a record below .500 going into Friday.

These figure to be some pretty tense showdowns, and the pricing at the top EuroLeague betting sites only aid that argument.

Zalgiris is a hefty 9.5-point underdog against Anadolu Efes, but every other game has a spread no thicker than 5.5 points.

There is no denying the rise of Anadolu Efes. They’re now 17-10 behind a six-game winning streak, and they’re 9-1 over their last 10 games.

Shane Larkin has been back to playing at an MVP level, and he’s a huge reason for their resurgence. Of course, he’s presently questionable to suit up for this game.

I think Anadolu Efes can get the job done at home without him, but by almost 10 points? I think Zalgiris is a sneaky ATS play here, as they won the earlier meeting (89-73), and outside of a thrashing by the hands of Barcelona, have been very competitive.

Bayern Munich is a fun team to root for again, as Wade Baldwin IV is crushing right now. Bayern has won three straight, and are now 18-10 after going 6-1 over their last seven games.

Baldwin has specifically been lights out during this stretch. Check out his scoring over that seven-game stretch.

Baldwin has been the heart and soul of this offense, and I see little reason to bet against him or Bayern here.

He did drop 17 points on Saski in a 77-66 win earlier this year, after all.

Zenit is another team in fine shape at 16-11, and a win could vault them into the first place conversation. They’re dealing with some injuries to their rotation, but have weathered the storm with a 2-2 run over their last four games.

Olympiacos did get the win earlier in the year (75-66), of course.

I certainly can’t ignore that, but Olympiacos has been struggling for a while now. They just beat Crvena, but that was their first win since round 19. This just isn’t a team to be trusted.

This is a tough one to call, as Fenerbahce is a strong 17-11 squad, but Valencia Basket is finally healthy. They’ve dropped two straight, but had won three in a row before that, and have the balance to get hot.

Fenerbahce has been on fire with a 12-1 record over their last 13 games, and they’re quarterbacked by the extremely reliable Nando de Colo.

With de Colo playing this week, betting against Fenerbahce just isn’t an option.

You can go with my EuroLeague predictions for the most part here, as I am just not a huge fan of messing with game totals in this league if I don’t have to.

I’d hit the Under in the Valencia game just because 167.5 is pretty high, but that’s the only one I’m remotely interested in.

If Shane Larkin is out, Zalgiris is a steal at +9.5. That honestly may be the case, anyways, as they’ve been winning or hanging tight in most of their games.

I love this price for Bayern. They’re the better team, but you’re getting them at +200. I’m all-in on their moneyline, while Zenit and Fenerbahce are also great bets to get the win.
