EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – January 15, 2021

EuroLeague play keeps trucking along on Friday, with a huge six-game slate at your disposal. 

A tense showdown between FC Barcelona and CSKA Moscow understandably steals the show, but there is so much going on here.

It’s the biggest slate of the week and one of the biggest I can remember in some time. Just take a quick look to see who is in action.

That first game will be the one everyone cares about if you’re just into watching EuroLeague basketball. However, with six games to bet on, it may make sense to stretch your neck and see what other wagers stand out.

Hopefully, I can help you do that with today’s EuroLeague predictions and top betting picks.

This is the big one, as 15-4 CSKA Moscow tries to fend off a 13-6 Barcelona squad. CSKA Moscow sits atop the 2021 EuroLeague standings, and a loss here would get Barcelona closer to taking back first place.

I don’t really see it happening just yet, especially not here. Barcelona has been in good form, but they’re still without star forward Nikola Mirotic.

Given the magnitude of the game, I tend to trust in the healthier squad.

Zenit hosts Zalgiris as a 5-point favorite. They’re storing 11-6 on the year, but Zalgiris (11-8) isn’t too far behind them.

Zalgiris feels like a decent threat to beat the spread here, but I still expect Kevin Pangos and company to keep the ball rolling at home.

Fenerbahce Ulker feels like the easy play here. They’re at home, Panathinaikos is dealing with injuries, and they’re simply the better squad.

Nando de Colo is specifically playing lights out at the moment and is fresh off of a 27-point outing. Look for Fenerbahce to roll and notch their fifth straight victory.

This is probably the second-best game on Friday’s EuroLeague schedule. Real Madrid ranks third right now, and Bayern Munich is right behind them with the fourth-best record in the league.

Bayern Munich offers way more value and is at home in this matchup. Wade Baldwin IV has also been playing well offensively lately, and I think he can keep it going in a huge contest.

This game is the opposite, as Asvel Lyon hosts, but are just 5-13 on the year and have lost four in a row.

Asvel has gotten trounced in two of their last three games, too. Olympiacos is the clear pick to win, and I don’t see much reason to think they wouldn’t cover. The 8-point spread probably isn’t one to race to, of course.

Here’s another total mismatch, with a solid Valencia squad hosting Crvena. That said, Credenza has actually played pretty well lately, and their last meeting with Valencia was a win.

Valencia should defend their home turf, but 7.5 points feels a bit rich. Crvena to beat the spread is one of my top EuroLeague bets on this slate.

Zalgiris is 11-8 and is being a tad disrespected here against Zenit. They have a really balanced square and just lost for the first time since round 12. That came against CSKA Moscow, too, so I won’t hold it against them.

They’re not a bad upset try here, but I’ll just take the five points.

Bayern Munich at home at +159 is too good to pass up. They’re the fourth-best team in the league at 12-7 right now, and they have a good amount of talent. They’re also 7-1 at home this season and maybe looking to avenge a 100-82 loss to Real Madrid from earlier this year.

Crvena is more valuable, as their spread feels a bit too thick. They’re just 6-12 on the year, but they have lost by seven points just five times this year. I think they can give Valencia a tougher fight than expected and beat this spread.
