EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – February 5, 2021

Friday brings a fat EuroLeague schedule to bettors, but arguably not the games everyone was hoping for.

The quantity is great, but three of these games have spreads at 6.5 worse, and just one is below 5.5.

Could there be some blowouts coming? Perhaps, but the thick spreads also could give way to nice value. Before you make that call, see who is hitting the hardwood when EuroLeague play resumes on February 5th, 2021.

This isn’t the jaw-dropping slate you lust after, but it’s still a good one, overall. Milan puts their 3rd-ranked record (15-7) on the line, and a win here inches them closer to the top of the 2021 EuroLeague standings.

Bettors can also eye good Bayern Munich and Real Madrid squads. The question is, can you trust them to win and cover their spreads?

This is the most competitive game on the slate from a betting perspective, as Fenerbahce are just 3.5-point home favorites.

Fenerbahce are a respectable 13-10 on the year, and they’re also on fire with eight straight wins. They’re a bit banged up, though, with Marko Guduric potentially sitting this one out with a thigh issue.

Zenit looks like a very appealing upset play. They’re the better team at 13-8, and they’ll be hard-pressed to get a win after dropping two in a row.

Fenerbahce’s winning streak is daunting, but every streak ends eventually. Go get yourself some value with Zenit on Friday.

There could be more value coming your way via Panathinaikos. They’re admittedly risky as an 8-14 club, especially without top guard Nemanja Nedovic.

With Olympiacos potentially missing Sasha Vezenkov and being losers of four straight, this feels like a pretty great spot to aim high with the underdog.

I won’t be going with the underdog in this spot, though. Alba Berlin are without their top two guards for this one, and they’re just 8-15 on the year.

They also happen to be just 1-8 over their last nine games.

Bayern Munich roasted them by 18 points earlier this season, and they’re at full strength. You can hammer Bayern to win and cover on Friday.

Milan is probably an easy pick to back on Friday, as they’re on the road against an Asvel Lyon team that is missing some depth pieces.

It is certainly worth noting that Asvel has ripped off four wins in a row, of course. 

The first meeting wasn’t close (87-73), though, so I have no qualms backing a healthy Milan squad.

Real Madrid is another easy favorite to like. They’re hurting at guard due to departures and injuries, but the tried and true Sergio Llull remains on hand to weather the storm.

Baskonia finally scored a win over Zalgiris in their last game but had dropped their previous four matches. It should be back to their losing ways against one of the tougher teams in the league.

Panathinaikos is honestly a pretty compelling upset pick, but I’d rather play it safe with them and just soak up the ATS value.

Zenit’s spread is the smallest of the slate, so that’s one spot where the underdog really stands out. This is otherwise a slate to hop on the favorites, as these games mostly appear to be mismatches.
