EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – February 25, 2021

EuroLeague is back on Thursday, February 25th, with a thick five-game schedule hitting the hardwood.

I left you with some winning EuroLeague picks on Friday (2-2 overall), and the aim is to be even better on Thursday.

If you’re looking for some EuroLeague betting advice, read on for today’s EuroLeague predictions and top betting picks.

Valencia Basket (13-12) hits the road to battle a 15-9 Zenit squad. Their record doesn’t stand out, but they’re at full strength and are getting back on track with wins in each of their last two contests.

Zenit is at home and has the far better record, while they have a rebuttal at every turn with Kevin Pangos up front and bigs like Arturas Gudaitis, Will Thomas, and Mateusz Ponitka to go to war with.

This is a tough one to call, but at 100%, I like Valencia. Follow the value here, whether that’s a nice ATS bet or a straight-up underdog wager.

CSKA Moscow enters Thursday at a stellar 16-8, which is presently good for second in the 2021 EuroLeague standings.

They’ve hit a bit of a lull with two straight losses (1-3 over their last four), but I expect them to get back on track with Mike James due back for this one.

Olympiacos was no match for CSKA Moscow in an 80-61 loss earlier this year. It’s worth noting that CSKA Moscow could feel the effects of not having Nikola Milutinov or Tornike Shengelia here, but Olympiacos lost a big of their own with Hassan Martin going down.

That prompted the signing of big man Kosta Koufos, but I still don’t like the chances of an Olympiacos upset in this one.

Welcome to the tightest spread of the day, as Bayern plays host as a 2.5-point favorite. Bayern has enjoyed a fine year at 15-10, and they’re in solid form (3-1) over their last four outings.

Wade Baldwin IV (14.5 points per game) leads Bayern’s offensive attack, and he’s on fire these days.

The scoring is what stands out here, as Baldwin has been extremely reliable lately for Bayern. I like his chances to keep the hot run going against Maccabi Tel Aviv, who had modest success in a tense 85-82 win earlier this year.

Scottie Wilbekin was the star of that one, as he popped off for 27 points in the loss.

Wilbekin is expected to suit up for this one even though he’s not at 100%, while he didn’t deliver (0-6, 0 points) in his last game.

This is a close one, but I like Bayern at home. The Over is a fine secondary bet, considering how tight and explosive the first showdown was, too.

Will Khimki Moscow ever win again this season? It’s starting to look bleak, as Alexey Shved is a walking highlight reel, but his stats haven’t translated into wins.

This is an epic losing streak, and it’s gotten so bad that the top EuroLeague betting sites list Khimki Moscow as an unfathomable 16.6-point underdog.

While their numerous blowouts remind you that’s very possible, the obvious bet here is Khimki to beat that egregious spread. I think Olimpia Milano wins at home, but this one could be a bit closer than expected.

Lastly, Zalgiris is on the road against Real Madrid, as they try to get it going after dropping two of their last three games.

Zalgiris is a solid 14-11 on the year, and they offer a nice balance with Joffrey Lauvergne and Marius Grigonis offensively.

Real Madrid is a tough test on the road, though. They could be without veteran guard Sergio Llull, but they’re otherwise in good shape and stand-in at a solid 15-10.

Losers of two straight, Real Madrid needs to get things back on track. I think they do that here, while the Over is quite tempting when you note the explosive first meeting between these two sides.

These EuroLeague bets stand out as the best picks for Thursday’s five-game slate. Valencia is just being downgraded due to a rough patch, but they’re healthy and have looked great over their last two games.

You can bet on Valencia Basket to win, but beating a +5.5 spread feels like a steal at -118.

I also love CSKA Moscow and Bayern to get wins. CSKA Moscow is a nice bet with Mike James expected back, and Bayern is a really nice value as a mild home favorite.

Lastly, Khimki Moscow at +16.5 is just insane. You do not see point spreads like this in EuroLeague, so even though they’ve been awful this year, I will jump at this.
