EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – February 19, 2021

| February 18, 2021 10:23 am PDT

Round 25 of the 2020-21 EuroLeague basketball season continues on Friday, with a nice four-game slate for bettors.

Sportsbetting.ag has odds out, and you can bet on these games right now. Before you do, though, see who is playing.

  • Alba Berlin vs. Fenerbahce Ulker
  • Bayern Munich vs. Asvel Lyon
  • Zenit vs. Crvena Zvezda
  • Real Madrid vs. Valencia

It’s a nice-looking slate, with three of the four games harboring spreads at 6.5 or better. Only the Alba Berlin vs. Fenerbahce Ulker game is projected to be a blowout.

That can complicate matters, but I tend to think it makes for better betting. Let’s see how you should lean in Friday’s EuroLeague predictions and top betting picks.

Alba Berlin vs. Fenerbahce Ulker Predictions

  • Fenerbahce to beat Alba Berlin
  • Predicted total: 160-165

It’s pretty easy to see why Fenerbahce is almost a 10-point favorite here. They’re at home, and they’re riding a nine-game winning streak into this game.

The lone cause for pause for bettors here? Alba Berlin crushed Fenerbahce earlier this year, 89-63.

I think there’s enough there to at least consider Alba Berlin ATS in this spot, especially since they displayed their offensive upside in a 101-95 shootout loss to a good Bayern squad in their last outing.

Fenerbahce wins, and the Over stands out as the main bet, but Alba Berlin against the spread isn’t a bad third bet to target.

Bayern Munich vs. Asvel Lyon Predictions

  • Bayern Munich to beat Asvel Lyon
  • Predicted total: 150-155

Bayern is the slight 2.5-point favorite as they hit the road on Friday to battle a slowly ascending Asvel club.

Asvel Lyon is just 10-14 on the year, but they are in fantastic form with five straight wins. They handled Olimpia Milano in their last game and also have wins over Baskonia and Valencia.

They’re a tougher out than many expect, and you better believe I am intrigued by their +119 price as the home underdog.

Of course, Bayern is one of the better teams in the league, and they beat Asvel fairly easily (76-62) earlier this season.

It doesn’t help that forward Charles Kahudi is out for multiple weeks, which impacts Asvel’s depth and size.

I respect Asvel’s hot run and home-court edge, but Bayern is the better team, and they’re riding a nice three-game run of their own. Something has to break here, and I think Bayern does the breaking.

Zenit vs. Crvena Zvezda Predictions

  • Zenit to beat Crvena
  • Predicted total: 150-155

Zenit hits the road at 13-9 as they try to inch closer to the top of the 2021 EuroLeague standings.

They’re powered by Kevin Pangos (11.7 points and 6.2 assists per game) and Arturas Gudaitas (10.7 points per game) and will hope to snap a three-game skid.

Their losing streak is somewhat understandable, of course. They’ve all been pretty close, and they’ve come against very good teams.

Opponent Score Result
Fenerbahce 92-84 Loss
Milan 82-76 Loss
FC Barcelona 85-81 Loss

I respect that string of losses, while Crvenz has lost four in a row, and their offense hasn’t been quite as reliable.

Look for Zenit to get back on track here, with the Over being a fine secondary bet.

Real Madrid vs. Valencia Predictions

  • Valencia to beat Real Madrid
  • Predicted total: 160-165

This is probably the toughest game to bet on for Friday, as the spread is really tight, and Valencia is super appealing as a +135 home dog.

Real Madrid is usually the team I’d go with here, but it’s worth noting that they lost the earlier meeting (93-77), and Valencia is a rock-solid 7-4 at home this year.

I really like the value with them, as they got it going again in a wild 105-103 win over a good CSKA Moscow team their last time out.

There isn’t much reason to be down on a good Real Madrid team, but with Valencia getting stronger and showing up last game, I’ll ride the wave and chase some value.

Best EuroLeague Bets for Friday, February 19th

  • Alba Berlin vs. Fenerbahce Over 162.5 (-110)
  • Bayern Munich to Win (-139)
  • Zenit (-6.5) -113
  • Valencia to Win (+135)

My EuroLeague predictions above tell you about all you need to know. I like Fenerbahce to win the first game, but that nine-point spread isn’t one I’d love to mess with.

Instead, I just think there will be a lot of points in that game, so I’ll target the Over. Fenerbahce will likely set the tempo as the home team, and four of their last five games have topped 163 points.

Bayern is a pretty obvious pick. You can play the spread game, but it’s still a road game against a better than advertised Asvel team. I’d prefer to avoid getting burned by a one or two-point win here.

Zenit has been plenty fine lately, and they’re just losing to good teams. They’re better than Crvena, and they need to get an emphatic win to get things back on track. I like them to cover.

Lastly, I love the value associated with Valencia Basket.

Home underdogs are always worth a look, and they’re getting healthier. Taking out a very good CSKA Moscow team in their last game shows me they have the upside to get it done here.

Hopefully, my EuroLeague basketball betting picks serve you well. If you’re ready to place some bets, check out the best real money betting sites online.
