EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – December 30, 2020

EuroLeague basketball continues its makeup games with another slate of contests on Wednesday.

If you plan on betting on the EuroLeague, take a quick look at which teams are in action.

I handed out some EuroLeague predictions and betting picks yesterday on a pretty fun-looking slate that seemingly had loads of betting value to offer.

Can bettors trust in similar value for Wednesday’s four-game slate? Let’s take a quick look at each game as I hand out my EuroLeague predictions and top betting picks.

This game has the largest point spread in favor of Fenerbahce, likely due to Asvel Lyon missing some of their big men.

With Fenerbahce Ulker hosting and being a bit healthier, they’re a pretty easy call here. They also simply have more reliable star power, with Jan Veseley, Lorenzo Brown, and Nando de Colo all finally at full strength.

This might be the best spot for value on the entire slate. BetOnline is pricing Panathinaikos as a mild favorite, even though Crvena Zvezda will be without top scorer Jordan Loyd.

That’s problematic and could put a bit too much pressure on Corey Walden and Johnny O’Bryant. I’d hop on Panathinaikos in some manner before the odds move.

Barcelona is no longer the best team in the EuroLeague in terms of record, but they can still get there. They have a tough test against a good Bayern Munich squad, but they could be without Vladimir Lucic.

Even if he plays, Barcelona has more star power, better balance, and better defense. I like them to pull this one out, and they feel like a good bet to cover.

CSKA Moscow has ascended to the top of the EuroLeague standings, and they’ll look to stay there with a win over Olimpia Milano.

Olimpia Milano is a tougher out than many would care to admit, as Sergio Rodriguez heads a very balanced unit that has put up 70+ points in seven straight outings.

They’re a pretty good bet to keep this interesting and contribute to the Over, but I do expect CSKA Moscow to lean on Mike James (20.6 points per game) to carry them to the win.

I do not see any crazy upsets that are really worth your time like I did on Tuesday. The pricing was just so blatant yesterday, but today it doesn’t look nearly as enticing.

The same goes for a bunch of straight up and game total bets. I’m sure you could talk me into a few if I was hard up for some bets to make, but the three EuroLeague picks above are my favorite bets.

I’d probably stick to just these three. I like Fenerbahce at full strength, and they’re going to appear considerably better than a banged-up Asvel Lyon here.

I also love Panathinaikos, who will eventually be priced as a much bigger favorite if the top basketball betting sites adjust the odds. There’s also FC Barcelona, who are a fine, straight-up bet at -210, but I think they can get the job done and cover a pretty tame 5-point spread.
