EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – December 29, 2020

EuroLeague basketball continues on Tuesday, as the league makes up some more games. It’s a wacky schedule, but it gives bettors something to bet on and track throughout the day.
Before you get ready to bet on EuroLeague action, see who’s hitting the courts.
- Olympiakos vs. Khimki Moscow
- Real Madrid vs. Anadolu Efes
- Zalgiris vs. Alba Berlin
- Zenit vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv
- Valencia vs. Saski Baskonia
A new lead tops the standings, as CSKA Moscow is starting to run away with this thing. They don’t play today, but Real Madrid and Valencia are two teams that will try to keep pace.
Let’s dive right into these matchups and see how you might want to bet.
Olympiakos vs. Khimki Moscow Predictions
- Olympiakos to beat Khimki Moscow
- Predicted total: 165-170
Alexey Shved continues to offer upside as a scorer and playmaker for Khimki, but the results for the team just aren’t there.
The offensive potential and lack of defense help to push this game total to the Over, but Khimki’s struggles (2-14 on the year) make Olympiakos one of the easiest underdog plays of the entire slate.
Their best price at the moment resides over at BetOnline.
Real Madrid vs. Anadolu Efes Predictions
- Real Madrid to beat Anadolu Efes
- Predicted total: 155-160
Sergio Llull heads a balanced Real Madrid attack that is on fire right now. Their offense has been sharpo, and they’ve ripped off five straight wins in EL play.
Anadolu Efes has a bit more star power with Shane Larkin leading the charge (23-8-7 line in a big win in his last game), but this isn’t a good matchup for him.
They’re on the road, but Real Madrid is another stellar spot to locate some value. You should also feel comfortable with the Over in this one.
Zalgiris vs. Alba Berlin Predictions
- Zalgiris to beat Alba Berlin
- Predicted total: 155-160
Alba Berlin got off to an atrocious start earlier in the year, but they get credit for bouncing back and going on a nice run.
That run seems to be over, though, as they’ve gotten housed in two straight games, and are also down a key guard in Peyton Siva.

There is nice value here if Alba Berlin can find a way out of their funk, but I’m not seeing it as a likely proposition.
Zenit vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv Predictions
- Zenit to beat Maccabi Tel Aviv
- Predicted total: 145-150
Zenit will be a sizable road dog on Tuesday, even though they have a far better record than Maccabi Tel Aviv, and are also getting solid guard play out of Kevin Pangos.
His matchup isn’t easy on paper, but neither is Scottie Wilbekin’s on the other side. That, and Maccabi Tel Aviv could be forced to take the floor without reliable big man, Othello Hunter (back).
Othello Hunter is in doubt for tomorrow’s game vs Zenit. He is GTD.

Sandy Cohen went to the states for a family and won’t be available for the game as well.
Valencia vs. Saski Baskonia Predictions
- Valencia to beat Saski Baskonia
- Predicted total: 155-160
Lastly, bettors can probably hang their hat on a Valencia win. They’re 10-6 on the year and have the edge in star power and balance as they prepare to battle Saski Baskonia.
To make matters worse, Achille Polonara has been banged up and it’s possible he misses this game after sitting out his last contest.
Best EuroLeague Bets for Tuesday, December 29th
- Olympiakos to Win (+110)
- Olympiakos vs. Khimki Moscow Over 166.5 (-107)
- Real Madrid to Win (+147)
- Zenit (+4.5) -111
- Valencia to Win (+120)
This is the slate for value if you like betting on EuroLeague basketball underdogs. I’m always game for that, but especially on Tuesday, I think bettors can swing for the fences a bit.
There are some spots where injuries could derail things (Alba), but I still really like Olympiakos, Real Madrid, and Valencia as weird underdogs. I wouldn’t personally price them as such, which is probably the main reason I like them so much.
If you don’t feel the same, just hit the Over in that Olympiakos game, or bet on the spreads. Zenit is one more underdog special, but I prefer the point spread there for a little extra safety.
Hopefully my EuroLeague basketball betting picks serve you well on Tuesday. Enjoy the games, and happy betting!
