EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – April 1, 2021

| April 1, 2021 6:45 am PDT

I went 2-2 with my EuroLeague picks on Tuesday, and I’m back for more with four games hitting the hardwood on Thursday.

Before you dive in and start betting, take a quick look at which teams are facing off on April 1st, 2021.

  • Baskonia vs. Anadolu Efes
  • Panathinaikos vs. Milano
  • Bayern Munich vs. Zalgiris
  • Crvena vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv

This is a solid schedule, and it’s intensified by the fact that just a few spots remain for the playoffs.

Bayern is one team that has yet to clinch, and they’ll be one of the coveted plays for bettors on this slate.

Where should you bet elsewhere on today’s schedule? Let’s break things down with Thursday’s EuroLeague predictions and top betting picks.

Baskonia vs. Anadolu Efes Predictions

  • Anadolu Efes to beat Baskonia
  • Predicted total: 160-165

Anadolu Efes has officially qualified for the playoffs, but Baskonia still has some work to do.

They’ll be itching for a big win here, and given what is at stake, I tend to think they’ll get it done.

For what it’s worth, Baskonia is a respectable 18-14 on the year and are on fire right now as winners of nine of their last 10.

Anadolu Efes is the better team when you look at the big picture, but this is one Baskonia can’t allow to get away from them.

Panathinaikos vs. Milano Predictions

  • Milano to beat Panathinaikos
  • Predicted total: 155-160

Milano is another team that has punched their ticket to the 2021 EuroLeague playoffs, so it’s worth wondering if they take their foot off the gas a bit.

Panathinaikos isn’t a big threat at 10-20, and they’re down their biggest star, too.

They also haven’t been in amazing form, as they’re just 1-6 over their last seven games.

Milano would really have to lie down to drop this one, while Panathinaikos is giving up 80+ points basically every game these days. I like Milano and the Over here.

Bayern Munich vs. Zalgiris Predictions

  • Bayern to beat Zalgiris
  • Predicted total: 155-160

Bayern is a solid 19-13 and are very close to qualifying for the playoffs, but they’re not there yet. They will understandably be motivated here, but bettors need to keep in mind that Zalgiris (16-16) is technically still alive, as well.

I’m still siding with the superior team, especially since both teams have a major incentive to keep winning.

Bayern Munich has more talent, they need to win, and their recent losses have come against very good teams. I think they bounce back and get the win to punch their playoff ticket here.

Crvena vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv Predictions

  • Maccabi Tel Aviv to beat Crvena
  • Predicted total: 150-155

This is the only EuroLeague game on Thursday with zero playoff implications. Crvena is just watching the clock these days, as they own the second-worst record (9-23) and are just 2-11 over their last 13.

Crvena is pretty bad, and they’ll be the inferior team when going up against Maccabi.

Maccabi Tel Aviv isn’t great, but they’re certainly better than Crvena. They showed everyone that in an earlier 81-76 win.

Maccabi Tel Aviv has turned it on of late, as they’re 3-1 over their last four, and most recently scored an impressive OT win over FC Barcelona.

They’re the easiest team to back here, while the poor defense in this game inches this one toward the Over.

Best EuroLeague Bets for Thursday, April 1st

I’m speaking hypothetically in some regards, as pricing is not out just yet for Thursday’s EuroLeague basketball betting slate.

My EuroLeague predictions should still prove useful and help you get things going, of course. A few teams stand out due to being so close to the playoffs, and there also happens to be some mismatches here.

Roll with my predictions once odds pop up, or come back here for updated EuroLeague picks before the games start.
