EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – November 6, 2020

Round seven of the 2020 EuroLeague basketball season concludes on Friday, with a fun five-game betting slate coming our way.
There’s lots to consider on this slate, so let’s first see who is hitting the hardwood.
- Khimki Moscow vs. Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul
- Real Madrid vs. Zalgiris Kaunas
- Crvena Zvezda vs. FC Bayern Munich
- CSKA Moscow vs. Panathinaikos
- Olimpia Milano vs. Valencia
There aren’t a ton of big injuries to look at, but do note that Malcolm Delaney is expected to be out about three weeks. His absence will hurt the depth of Olumpia Milano, while bettors will also want to monitor the statuses of Ionnis Papapetrou and Devin Booker.
Other than that, we can look ahead to Friday’s slate and hand out our EuroLeague predictions and top betting picks.
Khimki Moscow vs. Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul Predictions
- Khimki Moscow to beat Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul
- Predicted total: 160-165
Alexey Shved has looked fantastic in his first two games back. He dropped 32 points in a two-point loss in his 2020 EuroLeague debut, and his playmaking helped Khimki Moscow get their first win of the year in their last game.
Due to health issues so far, Khimki Moscow has to be seen as a considerable value, and so far when you look at Friday’s EuroLeague odds, that’s precisely the case.
Shved is a driving force here, and you can confidently bet on Khimki Moscow to beat the spread, while they offer elite betting value as +201 underdogs at BetOnline.
Real Madrid vs. Zalgiris Kaunas Predictions
- Real Madrid to beat Zalgiris Kaunas
- Predicted total: 160-165
This game has quite the drop-off in pure star power, but Real Madrid gives us another team that may be overlooked due to health issues to start the year.
Real Madrid was supposed to be a lot better than this if you look back to 2019 (second-best record in EL), but here they are.
I think they still have the balance and depth to turn things around – especially in this spot against a fairly overrated Zalgiris Kaunas squad that gets inconsistent production from their top players.
That said, Real Madrid has struggled defensively, and I think we get a pretty tight matchup.
Crvena Zvezda vs. FC Bayern Munich Predictions
- FC Bayern Munich to beat Crvena Zvezda
- Predicted total: 150-155
Bayern Munich figures to be the better team right now (4-2) as they prepare to face Crvena Zvezda (2-3), and there’s no doubt they’ll want to bounce back after getting smoked (100-82) by Real Madrid.
The defense had been a lot better than that lately, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. I also trust the trio of Wade Baldwin IV, Jalen Reynolds, and Vladimir Lucic a bit more in this spot.
That said, Crvena Zvezda did get Johnny O’Bryant back last game, and they still have the explosive Jordan Lloyd (22.6 points per game) to lean on, so this one should be close.
CSKA Moscow vs. Panathinaikos Predictions
- CSKA Moscow to beat Panathinaikos
- Predicted total: 150-155
We’ve gotten inconsistent play from both sides of this contest, as CSKA Moscow enters at 3-3, and Panathinaikos is just 2-2. I think this is CSKA Moscow’s game to lose, though, as they are just the more dangerous team, and they come in at full strength.
As I touched on in the intro, it’s possible Papapetrou won’t be on hand for this one, and if true, that will put too much pressure on Nemanja Nedovic to carry this offense.
Regardless, CSKA Moscow just has more high-level talent, led by Mike James (17.5 points per game), Will Clyburn, and Tornike Shengelia. That trio is just so lethal, and with the betting odds favoring CSKA Moscow, I don’t see much of a reason to go against them here.
Olimpia Milano vs. Valencia Predictions
- Olimpia Milano to beat Valencia
- Predicted total: 155-160
Olimpia Milano has looked good through four games (3-1) in EuroLeague action, and they’ll try to keep pace with the top teams in the league when they take on Valencia.
The wild thing is they haven’t even been at full strength, as top veteran Vladimir Micov finally makes his 2020 debut.

Valencia Basket has been fine at 3-2, and we know they have some guys that can play. Bojan Dubljevic is the main anchor here, while Nikola Kalinic also helps out.
This should be a good game like the top betting sites suggest with a 3-point line, but I tend to favor Olimpia Milano. They already look good, and get a very good player back, so they should have the mild edge.
Best EuroLeague Bets for Friday, November 6th
- Khimki Moscow (+5.5) -118
- Khimki Moscow to Win (+201)
- Zalgiris Kaunas (+5.5) -108
- Real Madrid vs. Zalgiris Kaunas Over 159.5 (-111)
- Crvena Zvezda (+5) -117
- Olimpia Milano (+3) -104
There are a ton of EuroLeague betting picks I love for Friday, and my favorites can be seen in the list above. Like always, if you want to keep it simple, you can just build your bets how you see fit based off of my EuroLeague predictions.
As things stand, I just think Khimki Moscow is a lot more explosive and dangerous with Shved back. They’re a fun upset special and my top underdog pick of the day, but this 5.5-point spread is too thick, regardless.
I also like the value against the spread with Zalgiris Kaunas, Crvena Zvezda, and Olimpia Milano. I won’t go after wins for all of those squads, but those games should be pretty close, and I think they all have a shot at staging the upset.
Calling upsets across the board is usually ill-advised, of course. But I think riding the underdogs to beat these spreads puts bettors in a profitable position to close out the week.
