EuroLeague Predictions and Best Bets – November 12, 2020
The 2020 EuroLeague basketball season rages on with a nice four-game slate arriving on Thursday, November 5th.
Here’s a quick look at all of the teams in action.
- CSKA Moscow vs. Saski Baskonia
- Alba Berlin vs. Olympiakos
- Zalgiris vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv
- Fenerbahce Ulker vs. FC Barcelona
This is a fun slate to target if you like to bet on EuroLeague, but it could be a bit tricky. Three of these four contests have point spreads set at 7.5 or thicker, so we’ll have to ponder potential blowouts and how to bet on them.
Things didn’t work out quite so well with my EuroLeague picks the last time I handed some out on Friday. However, we did score a win with Real Madrid and Zalgiris easily topping the Over (-111).
A few other bets had a shot, but ultimately my top picks fell short. I was mostly on the underdog side of things, and most of the favorites kept things under control.
Let’s see if the dog money wins out again in Thursday’s EuroLeague top betting picks.
CSKA Moscow vs. Saski Baskonia Predictions
- CSKA Moscow to beat Saski Baskonia
- Predicted total: 155-160
Baskonia could be a solid threat to beat a pretty thick spread, especially if Pierria Henry can score the way he did in his last outing (20 points). Unfortunately, he’s not very consistent, and even Rokas Gidraitas hasn’t been playing well lately.
If those guys show up, Saski Baskonia is a solid ATS play. CSKA Moscow is the more talented and deeper team, however. I like them to win here.
Alba Berlin vs. Olympiakos Predictions
- Olympiakos to beat Alba Berlin
- Predicted total: 160-165
Alba Berlin has struggled (1-4) and things won’t get any easier as they take on a solid 4-3 Olympiakos squad. They’re also potentially doing so without top guard, Peyton Siva, who missed their last game due to COVID-19.
Olympiakos is the better team, regardless, so Alba Berlin being under-manned makes this an easy call.
Zalgiris vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv Predictions
- Maccabi Tel Aviv to beat Zalgiris
- Predicted total: 155-160
Zalgiris has enjoyed a far better start to 2020 (5-2) in EuroLeague, but Maccabi arguably has more talent. Scottie Wilbekin has played MVP-caliber ball with 17.6 points per game, while he’s getting solid help from the likes of Tyler Dorsey and Ante Zizic.
Othello Hunter (head) may not be on hand for this one, but I still like Maccabi Tel Aviv here.
Fenerbahce Ulker vs. FC Barcelona Predictions
- FC Barcelona to beat Fenerbahce Ulker
- Predicted total: 150-155
FC Barcelona enters as the rightful favorites, and they own the second biggest spread advantage of the slate. Nobody will argue that, as they’ve been the best team in EuroLeague (6-1) to this point.
This is one of the most star-studded squads, with Nikola Mirotic and Nick Calathes leading the charge.
I like the idea of Fenerbahce Ulker beating the spread, but a flat out upset could prove difficult with top guard Nando de Colo sidelined with a calf injury.

Best EuroLeague Bets for Thursday, November 12th
- Saski Baskonia (+7.5) -112
- Olympiakos (-10) -106
- Maccabi Tel Aviv to Win (-195)
- Fenerbahce Ulker (+8) -116
- Fenerbahce Ulker vs. FC Barcelona Over 153 (-113)
These are some pretty thick point spreads, so I am all for going with the underdogs to keep things a bit more interesting than expected.
You can still roll with my EuroLeague predictions above if you just want to bet on straight-up winners, but this list shows you my top betting picks for the slate.
One of my favorites is Maccabi Tel Aviv to win at -195, and this total for the FC Barcelona game just feels too low.
It’s the lowest of the slate, and it features some of the best talent, so that feels like a good spot to hope for a slightly higher scoring affair than the top basketball betting websites suggest.
Hopefully my EuroLeague picks find you well. Good luck, and enjoy the games!
